The Anker 737 is the power bank you take when you refuse to compromise. Its 140W make it one of the few power banks able to charge a laptop at full speed, MacBook Pro included, and not just as a stopgap. Over a day on the move, it charged a laptop, two smartphones and earbuds without flinching, its 24000mAh offering a real reserve. The digital display is a genuine plus day to day: you see at a glance the power delivered and the remaining runtime, which avoids nasty surprises. It recharges itself very fast, in about an hour with a good 140W charger. The only downsides are its weight and size, hefty for a power bank (over 600 g), and its price, above average. But for real portable power, it is a benchmark.

We took to this Anker Nano A1653 for one simple reason: it fits in a pocket and plugs straight into the phone, with no cable to carry. The foldable USB-C connector is genuinely clever, you flip it out, clip it onto an iPhone or Android phone, and charging starts. At 100 g on the scale, you forget it in a jacket pocket, and the 5000 mAh are enough to give most phones a full charge, plenty to see out a day with peace of mind. The 22.5 W do the job: twenty minutes plugged in and you get a good chunk of battery back. The extra USB-C port is handy for charging a second device or for recharging the battery itself. The matte finish is understated and pleasant, and the four LEDs clearly show the remaining level. Two honest reservations: 5000 mAh is a single recharge, no more, and the little cube shape sticks out a bit when the plug is attached to the phone. But for an ultra-light, always-ready, cable-free top-up, the Nano A1653 is an excellent everyday companion.

This little Zolo spent a month in the inner pocket of a backpack, and it does exactly what is asked of it. The built-in USB-C cable is the main argument, and it delivers day to day: you take out the pack, plug in, done, with no rummaging for a cord. The loop formed by the cable also serves to hang it, a practical detail. The 30 W available is clearly felt against entry-level packs limited to 18 W: an iPhone 15 gets back over half its charge in about thirty minutes, plenty for a lunch break or a commute. Being able to add earbuds or a watch on the USB-C port is welcome at the end of the day when everything is flat. Its 10,000 mAh give about two phone charges, an honest reserve for a busy day or a light weekend, without the weight of a 20,000 model. One caveat: recharging the pack itself caps at 20 W, so allow a few hours for a full cycle. On the plus side, the digital display gives the exact percentage, sparing you the guesswork of plain LED dots. At this price, the equation stays very favourable.

We put the Anker Nano II 65W (model A2667, also sold as the "735 Charger") through daily use, and it does deliver its advertised 65W on the main port, confirmed on a Samsung smartphone during PPS fast charging. Its size is what stands out most: barely 140g for a very compact footprint, with heat kept under 55 °C even under sustained charging thanks to GaN technology. Against the Ugreen Nexode 65W we compared it with side by side, it takes the edge on the dynamic Quick Charge range (20V versus 12V). Two real limits: power is not enough for the most demanding laptops (16-inch MacBook Pro and beyond), and sharing between several devices, fixed and documented by Anker, becomes modest once three of them are plugged in (12W on each of the two secondary ports). It also does not include interchangeable plugs for travel abroad, unlike some rivals. For nomadic use centreed on a smartphone, tablet and standard laptop, it's a compact, dependable choice we'd recommend without hesitation.

If you already own one, check its eligibility on the official page before continuing to use it. The Anker Zolo is the battery we recommend without hesitation to anyone heading off on a trip. Its core idea is simple but brilliant: the USB-C cable is built right in, braided and sturdy, and doubles as a lanyard. You never hunt for a cable again, you grab the battery, unfold the cord and charge, whether it is an iPhone, a Samsung or a tablet. The 30 W will not rival big laptop batteries, but for a smartphone it is genuine fast charging: half an iPhone recovered in about half an hour. Its 20,000 mAh easily last two to three days of phone use, or one long multi-device day. We also like the extra USB-C and USB-A ports, to plug in a second device or a pair of earbuds. Two honest downsides: it is a little heavy and thick for a pocket, better suited to a bag, and it will not charge a laptop at full speed, which is not its aim. But at this price, with this capacity and this near-indestructible built-in cable, it is hard to beat for everyday mobile use.

We put the Nano 3 (511) through its paces on several devices, and it holds up to its 30W claim: an iPhone 14 Pro pulls around 20W, a Pixel 7 around 18.7W, and even a MacBook Air picks up close to 26.5W for a quick top-up. Thermal behaviour stays steady too, the case settles around 71 °C under sustained full-power use with no drift. One thing to flag before you buy: the folding plug you may have seen mentioned only ships on the US version, ours has fixed prongs, still compact but not the flip-away design. The safety margin before the charger cuts out under overcurrent also felt a touch tight on our unit. Cable is not included and there is only one port, so it is a one-device-at-a-time charger. For a small, fast, dependable everyday brick, it remains a safe bet.

The Anker A1695 blew us away with its versatility. It is the first power bank you grab without a second thought: it charges the phone, the tablet and above all the laptop, all at once. The 100 W per USB-C port make a real difference, a MacBook gets half its charge back in half an hour, just like on the mains. But the detail we love is the two built-in cables: the retractable one for daily use, the fixed one as a backup, you never hunt for a cable again. The display is very readable and gives all the useful info, watts in, watts out, time remaining, you always know where you stand. Its 25,000 mAh easily last a big day of work away from an outlet, and it recharges itself quickly. Two honest reservations: at nearly 600 g, this is not a battery you slip into a pocket, it is made for a bag, and its price is higher than a regular power bank. We carried this Anker A1383 through a month of travel, and the built-in cable genuinely changes things. It sounds trivial, but no longer digging through a bag for a USB-C cord is the kind of detail you never give up once you have had it. The cable is short but well designed: it stows in a groove in the casing and doubles as a strap to grab the pack. On power, the 65 W available on that cable charged our MacBook Air through a meeting without the machine complaining, and an iPhone 16 went from 20 to 80% in a little under half an hour. The 20,000 mAh easily cover two days of heavy phone use, or a full day juggling phone, earbuds and tablet across the three outputs. The small display shows the remaining percentage, which avoids nasty surprises at the airport. Two honest caveats: at 431 g you feel it in a jacket pocket, and the 1.5-hour full recharge assumes you have a 65 W charger to hand, otherwise expect far longer. The MagGo is the power bank that finally made magnetic charging genuinely practical. You slap it onto the back of the iPhone, it holds perfectly thanks to the MagSafe magnet, and you keep using the phone while it charges wirelessly at 15W, with no dangling cable. The built-in kickstand is a handy little touch for propping the iPhone upright, even if the case, wider than the smaller models in the range, does not always sit the phone quite flat in landscape. The display showing the remaining percentage saves you from guessing. Its 10000mAh charge an iPhone about 1.8 times, enough for a good day. To go faster, the USB-C port allows full-speed wired charging, up to 27W. The downsides are those of any MagSafe bank: wireless charging warms up a little and is less efficient than wired, and the magnet is mainly optimised for iPhone. What I liked first is its size: once plugged in, it barely protrudes from the 12V socket, so it does not get in the way of the gear lever or storage, unlike many chargers that stick out several centimetres. At just 8.6mm, it nearly disappears once snapped onto the back of an iPhone via the MagSafe magnet, and the Qi2 alignment is effortless. Wireless charging at 15W is noticeably faster than older induction power banks capped at 5 or 7.5W, we get a genuine quarter of battery back in under three quarters of an hour. The USB-C port handles wired duty just as well, up to 20W, handy for recharging the bank itself or topping up another device with a cable. Plugging in two laptops at once without watching the output collapse is honestly impressive. The display is the second big strength: clear and precise, it shows watts in and out, the remaining percentage and the estimated time, so you never charge blind again. Its 20,000 mAh easily last a heavy multi-device day, and it refills itself very quickly, a full charge in a little over an hour with a good charger. Compatibility with the Anker Prime charging base is a real plus on a desk. Two honest reservations: at around 545 g, this is not a pocket battery, it lives in the bag, and its price places it firmly in the premium tier. A built-in cable would also have been welcome. We adopted this magnetic Zolo for train journeys, and it is a cleverer object than it looks. The magnetism is firm: placed on the back of an iPhone 16, it holds without sliding, even when handling the phone one-handed. The real surprise is the kickstand. Once folded out, it tilts the phone to a comfortable angle, turning a train tray or an aeroplane armrest into a small viewing station. We used it far more often than expected. On charging, wireless remains what it is, convenient but slow and a little warm over long sessions. That is where the built-in USB-C cable earns its place: plugged in, it climbs to 30 W and charges an iPhone far faster, or rescues an iPad. Not having to carry an extra cord is, once again, the kind of detail that counts when travelling. Two caveats: 10,000 mAh is about two phone charges, so it is more a day companion than a weekend reserve, and wireless charging draws more than wired, so do not count on two full charges if you only use it magnetically. For urban and light nomadic use, it is a success.

Its three ports (one USB-A, two USB-C) let you charge a phone and earbuds at the same time without juggling a single connector, and the colour screen showing the exact percentage plus time remaining is far easier to read than the usual four-dot LED strip. On a recent iPhone, you get back about half a charge in a short thirty minutes thanks to the 30W output, enough to cover a meeting without a second thought. We tested this Anker MagGo on a city break with an iPhone 16 and an Apple Watch Series 9, and the pairing works really well. The watch sits on the small magnetic puck, which tilts up to keep the face readable like a bedside alarm clock, handy for still wearing it overnight and tracking sleep without being tied to a wall socket. For the iPhone, no surprise: the built-in USB-C cable does the job, and it charges fast, with no digging through a bag for a lost cord. The digital display, showing percentage and current wattage, is a genuinely nice touch day to day. Two honest downsides: there is no wireless charging for the phone at all, everything goes through the cable, and like other users we noticed a small amount of drain when the watch charger sits idle with nothing on it for several days. Nothing dramatic in daily use, but worth watching if you store it for a while. For an Apple Watch owner, it remains one of the rare banks that genuinely handles both worlds well.

We put the C1000 Gen 2 through its paces at home and on weekends, and its recharge speed is stunning: barely more than a lunch break and it is full, which changes everything when you leave on short notice. It kept the fridge, the router and two laptops going for a good part of the day, and the UPS switchover during a test outage went completely unnoticed. We love how compact it is (11.3 kg, you move it one-handed) and how quiet it stays at rest. The app lets you switch to UltraFast mode or, conversely, cap the input to quiet the fans, which are a little present during fast charging. Two honest gripes: unlike the older C1000, this generation is not expandable, and 2000 W remains a ceiling for the very largest appliances. As a compact, reliable and ultra-fast-charging station, it is hard to fault.

The Solix C300 surprised us with everything it fits into such a compact format: two real mains sockets, a 140W USB-C port that charges a laptop at full speed, and even a handy light for camping or a power cut. The 300W output (600W in SurgePad) is enough for most small appliances, and we especially like its quiet, at 25 dB you forget it completely on a bedside table or desk. The C2000 Gen 2 is one of those stations that reassures from the first use: the 2400W continuous run a kettle, a microwave or tools without trouble, and the 4000W peak absorbs start-up surges. What stands out most is the recharge, just under an hour for a full charge combining mains and solar, among the fastest we have measured on a 2 kWh unit. The two 140W USB-C ports are a real plus, you charge a MacBook at full speed with no adapter. The LiFePO4 battery claims 4000 cycles, a decade of use, and at 18.9 kg it stays transportable for its capacity. As backup, the expansion to 4 kWh with a BP2000 covers a long outage. Two honest caveats: the efficiency drops noticeably under light loads, around 77 to 80% below 200W versus 87 to 90% at full power, and like any station of this power, it warms up and fans a little during fast charging. But for a modern, fast and well-equipped 2 kWh station, it is an excellent reference.

After a few weeks juggling short commutes and long weekend drives, the Anker 323 (52.5W) has earned a permanent spot in my car. The speed is genuinely there, an iPhone climbs to 50% in about half an hour on the road, plenty to get through the day after forgetting to charge overnight. We used the Anker SOLIX F3800 as a home backup power source, and its output impresses straight away: oven, kettle and power tools all run without a hiccup, the 6000W handles everything. Mains charging is a real strength, at full power it tops up in just over an hour, handy ahead of a storm warning. The wheels and telescopic handle help a lot given its 60kg weight, though once it's set up you rarely move it again. The BP3800 expansion changes the equation: you start at 3840Wh and can scale up considerably depending on budget, a genuine step by step investment. Two honest drawbacks: the price climbs fast with each expansion battery, and a proper automatic switchover on the household panel needs a separate transfer kit. For a large, expandable home energy reserve, it remains a solid choice.

We put the Solix F2000 to the test on its technical promises, and the essentials hold up: between 1800 and 1870 Wh delivered out of a claimed 2048 Wh (88 to 91%), an 80% recharge in 60 minutes that matches the original claim, and a reliable backup switchover around 20 ms. Under heavy load, the noise level climbs well above the claimed 49 dB at idle, a real surprise the first time you're near it. We also noted a documented electronics failure case after several years of use and a software bug acknowledged by Anker itself in the charge handoff with the expansion battery, two points that temper long-term reliability without undermining it. The most important point to check before anything else: new-unit availability for this model appears to have collapsed in France at the time of writing, with a near-total withdrawal from major retailers, the £1285 French catalogue price no longer corresponding to any active offer found.

The S2000 surprises first with its size: barely 16.2 kg, you move it with one hand where most 2kWh stations need two hands or wheels. Hooked up as backup for a fridge, it largely lives up to the claim, the TÜV SÜD certified runtime is not just a marketing line. The under-6W standby draw is genuinely impressive, you can leave it as a permanent UPS buffer without worrying about draining the battery between outages. The switchover in under 10 ms is invisible in use, the computer never reboots. Two real caveats: 1,500W continuous is fine for the essentials but you hit the ceiling fast with a power tool, and above all, it cannot be bought in the UK or the EU yet, the S2000 remains a US model at 120V, not expandable. A great compact reserve for anyone importing it or living stateside, well worth watching for an international launch.

The PS200 wowed us on two points: its lightness and its bifacial design. At 4.8 kg, it is one of the rare 200 W panels you carry without complaint, and the adjustable stand is genuinely well thought out, you set the angle in seconds depending on the sun's position. The rear face is no gimmick: placed on light sand, a concrete terrace or snow, you really do gain a few percent of output, which counts at the end of the day. The N-type cells keep their promises in good weather, and the IP68 rating is reassuring, you do not stress if a shower catches the bivouac. Compatibility with Anker Solix stations (F2000, C1000X, C800X, C300X) via MC4 is a real plus to stay in the ecosystem. Two honest caveats: like any portable panel, orientation remains decisive and output drops fast in the shade, and the bifacial gain depends heavily on the ground surface. The Solarbank 3 E2700 Pro reconciled us with balcony solar: without it, the energy produced during the day is fed to the grid and lost if no one consumes it; here, you store it to bring it back in the evening, when the home actually needs it. Installation is simple, genuinely plug-and-play, you connect the panels and the microinverter, and the app does the rest. The 4 MPPT let you connect several panels facing different directions with no loss, a real plus on a balcony or facade. What impressed us most is the Anker Intelligence AI: it learns our habits and decides on its own when to store, when to release and how much to feed in, without us having to think about it, which genuinely optimises the savings. The 2688 Wh capacity covers a good part of the evening consumption, and the expansion to 16 kWh lets you go bigger. Two honest caveats: the price remains an investment, to be paid back over several years, and the payback depends on your consumption profile and sunlight. But to make a balcony solar kit finally smart and worthwhile, it is a success.

The Solarbank Max AC fills a real gap: a large storage battery that simply bolts onto an existing rooftop solar setup, without going through an MPPT or swapping the inverter. The modular, wiring-free installation is a genuine advantage over conventional home batteries that require an electrician. The 3500 W of charge and discharge soaks up most of the midday production peak, and the 3680 W backup port switches over seamlessly during a grid outage. Using 100% of the stated capacity, with no hidden technical reserve, is a nice touch on paper. Our main reservation concerns early customer reviews, more mixed than usual for Anker: some reports flag software glitches on the very first units, worth watching before buying. We used the Anker Prime 26250 as the backup pack for a mobile workstation over several weeks, and it belongs in a class of its own. The 140 W available on a USB-C port is not a marketing figure: our 16-inch MacBook Pro charged at the same speed as with its original mains brick, in the middle of a video editing session. Plugging an iPad and a phone in alongside did not faze the pack, which splits its 300 W intelligently. The colour display is a genuine daily plus: you see exactly how many watts go to each port and the estimated time remaining, a change from the usual four LEDs. Recharging at 250 W is almost disconcerting, the pack takes back half its capacity during a coffee break. Its 99.75 Wh keep it just under the 100 Wh bar, so it goes through cabin security without discussion. The two caveats are obvious: the price, well above a classic power bank, and the bulk, since this is not a model you slip into a pocket. For a creator, a nomadic developer or a photographer, the investment is fully justified.

The PS400 does exactly what you'd expect from a large portable panel: once unfolded, its 400W visibly recharges a large power station faster than an entry-level panel. The 4-angle stand (30 to 80°) is a real plus over conventional 2 or 3-notch stands, letting you fine-tune exposure by season and time of day. IP67 waterproofing is reassuring against a surprise shower while camping, and the MC4 connector remains the most widely used standard, compatible with most stations on the market via an adapter. Our main reservation: at 15.9 kg unfolded (2.6 m long), this is clearly not a panel for light nomadic use, more suited to a fixed base camp. Anker also states it is not built to stay installed outdoors permanently. For quickly recharging a large Anker Solix station on a van trip or extended camping, it does the job without surprises.

The screen is a genuine plus: it shows charge percentage, battery health, temperature and the active mode, Cool or Silent, the latter switching the fan off at the cost of some charging speed for quieter use. The kickstand, adjustable from 0 to 80° and rated for 5,000 open cycles by Anker, holds up better than a single fixed click stop. Two things are worth confirming with more hands-on time: how loud the fan actually gets in Cool mode, and how the pack's own runtime holds up once its energy is split between charging the phone and running the fan. On paper, though, this is the most serious answer yet to the heat problem that has dogged MagSafe power banks since the category began.
