Detailed overview: Anker MagGo 2 Pro 25W Qi2 magnetic power bank
Unveiled on 3 September 2026, the Anker MagGo 2 Pro (model A110R) is a 10,000mAh magnetic power bank built to solve the main weak point of MagSafe batteries: heat during wireless charging. Qi2.2 certified, it delivers up to 25W by attaching magnetically to the back of a MagSafe-compatible iPhone, up from 15W on the previous generation of the MagGo line.
Its distinguishing feature is an active cooling system: a built-in turbo fan with dual air channels, controlled by an algorithm that adjusts fan speed in real time based on measured temperature, paired with a three-layer graphene heat spreader. Anker states the surface temperature stays under 36°C throughout wireless charging, which should let it sustain the full 25W rating without the thermal throttling typical of unfanned MagSafe power banks.
The USB-C port runs up to 45W, both for recharging the pack itself (80% in a claimed 52 minutes) and for charging another device over cable at full speed. A built-in screen shows charge percentage, battery health, temperature and the active mode in real time: Cool (fan running, full power) or Silent (fan off, reduced power for quiet use). A built-in kickstand, continuously adjustable from 0 to 80° and rated for 5,000 opening cycles, lets you prop the phone at whatever angle suits while it charges.
At 220 grams and a compact 105.2 x 70.9 x 17.8mm, it stays within the usual MagGo footprint despite the added fan. It comes in three colours: Phantom Gray, Starlight Silver and Polar Night Blue.
Not yet listed on Anker's UK store at the time of writing. Any magnetic wireless charge dissipates energy as heat, and the higher the wattage climbs, the hotter the shell gets, until the electronics throttle themselves back to stay safe. Anker's answer is a turbo fan with dual air channels, controlled by an algorithm that adjusts fan speed in real time, paired with a three-layer graphene heat spreader: the brand claims a surface temperature that stays under 36°C throughout wireless charging, something we have not seen on this kind of accessory before. On paper, that should let it sustain the full 25W Qi2.2 rating without the thermal slowdown that usually hits rivals after a few minutes. The screen is a genuine plus: it shows charge percentage, battery health, temperature and the active mode, Cool or Silent, the latter switching the fan off at the cost of some charging speed for quieter use. The kickstand, adjustable from 0 to 80° and rated for 5,000 open cycles by Anker, holds up better than a single fixed click stop. Two things are worth confirming with more hands-on time: how loud the fan actually gets in Cool mode, and how the pack's own runtime holds up once its energy is split between charging the phone and running the fan. On paper, though, this is the most serious answer yet to the heat problem that has dogged MagSafe power banks since the category began.
