Detailed overview: Anker Solix C1000 Gen 2 power station
The Anker Solix C1000 Gen 2 is the second generation of one of the most popular portable power stations on the market. With 1024 Wh of capacity, a 2000 W output and an LFP (LiFePO4) InfiniPower battery rated for 4000 cycles, it bets on one strong argument: charging speed. Thanks to HyperFlash technology, it goes from 0 to 100% in just 49 minutes on a wall socket, making it one of the fastest 1 kWh stations around.
Its 230V output of 2000 W (up to 3000 W peak) powers the vast majority of everyday appliances: fridge, coffee maker, microwave, power tools, a computer or an internet router. It offers many outputs, including 4 AC outlets, 3 USB-C ports (2 x 140 W and 1 x 15 W), a USB-A port and a 12V car outlet (120 W). UL1778 certified, its UPS function switches to the battery in under 10 ms, enough to protect sensitive devices during outages.
Compared with the original C1000, this Gen 2 is 14% more compact and 11% lighter (11.3 kg), with a stackable structure for better heat dissipation. In exchange, it is not expandable, unlike the C1000X variant. On solar, it accepts up to 600 W of input through its MPPT controller, for a full charge in a few hours with suitable panels.
Key specifications:
- Capacity: 1024 Wh, LFP InfiniPower battery, not expandable
- AC output: 2000 W continuous, up to 3000 W peak, pure sine wave
- Recharge: mains 0 to 100% in 49 min (HyperFlash, up to 1600 W), solar up to 600 W, car charging
- Battery: LFP (LiFePO4) cells, 4000 cycles, about 10 years of regular use
- Connectivity: 4 AC outlets, 3 USB-C (2x140 W), USB-A, 120 W car outlet
- Weight and size: 11.3 kg, 384 x 208 x 244 mm, 5-year warranty
- Control via the Anker app (Wi-Fi and Bluetooth), LCD screen, UL1778-certified UPS
Compact, fast and reliable, the Anker Solix C1000 Gen 2 is a safe bet for home backup as well as camping or van life. Its only real downsides: no capacity expansion (keep the C1000X in mind if that matters) and fans audible during fast charging, adjustable in the app. For anyone who prioritises lightning recharge and a portable format, it remains one of the benchmarks in its class.

Comparison
Around £600 to £700, the Anker Solix C1000 Gen 2 competes head-on with several sought-after power stations of similar capacity and power, via searches such as "Anker Solix C1000 vs EcoFlow Delta 2" or "Anker C1000 vs Bluetti AC180". Here is how it stands against three of its most compared alternatives: the EcoFlow Delta 2, the versatile expandable benchmark; the Bluetti AC180, its direct rival on power; and the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2, one of the lightest in the class.
| Criterion | Anker Solix C1000 Gen 2 | EcoFlow Delta 2 | Bluetti AC180 | Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Capacity | 1024 Wh (not expandable) | 1024 Wh (expandable to 3040 Wh) | 1152 Wh | 1070 Wh |
| Continuous / peak power | 2000 W / 3000 W | 1800 W / 2700 W | 1800 W / 2700 W | 1500 W / 3000 W |

| Mains recharge 0-100% | 49 min | 80 min | 90 min | ~90 min |
| Battery cycles | 4000 | 3000 | 3500 | 4000 |
| Weight | 11.3 kg | 12 kg | ≈ 16.8 kg | ≈ 10.8 kg |
In short, the Anker Solix C1000 Gen 2 stands out with the fastest recharge of the group (49 min) and an above-average 2000 W of power in a compact body. The EcoFlow Delta 2 keeps the edge on expandability (up to 3 kWh), the Bluetti AC180 offers more raw capacity in a heavier format, and the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 remains the lightest. For anyone who prioritises charging speed, the C1000 Gen 2 is hard to beat.

Our tester's review: Christophe Delpuech
We put the C1000 Gen 2 through its paces at home and on weekends, and its recharge speed is stunning: barely more than a lunch break and it is full, which changes everything when you leave on short notice. It kept the fridge, the router and two laptops going for a good part of the day, and the UPS switchover during a test outage went completely unnoticed. We love how compact it is (11.3 kg, you move it one-handed) and how quiet it stays at rest. The app lets you switch to UltraFast mode or, conversely, cap the input to quiet the fans, which are a little present during fast charging. Two honest gripes: unlike the older C1000, this generation is not expandable, and 2000 W remains a ceiling for the very largest appliances. As a compact, reliable and ultra-fast-charging station, it is hard to fault.
Frequently asked questions: Anker Solix C1000 Gen 2 power station
The original C1000 (1056 Wh, 1800 W, 58 min charge) was replaced by the C1000 Gen 2, which is more compact, more powerful (2000 W) and above all faster (full recharge in 49 min via HyperFlash, 4000 cycles). The C1000X is the expandable variant (capacity doubled with an add-on battery), whereas the Gen 2 is not expandable.
With 2000 W of output (up to 3000 W peak), it powers most household appliances: fridge, microwave, coffee maker, TV, router, laptops or small power tools. Above 2000 W continuous, a more powerful model is better suited.
From a wall socket, it goes from 0 to 100% in just 49 minutes thanks to HyperFlash technology (up to 1600 W input, UltraFast mode via the app). On solar (up to 600 W), expect a few hours depending on sunlight.
No. Unlike the C1000X, the Gen 2 version does not accept an expansion battery: its capacity stays fixed at 1024 Wh. If expandability matters to you, look at the C1000X instead.
Yes, and it is UL1778 certified. During an outage, it switches to its battery in under 10 ms, fast enough that a router, computer or medical device does not shut down. It is a real asset for home backup power.
No. Its 1024 Wh capacity far exceeds the 100 Wh cabin limit set by airlines. Like all stations of this size, it cannot be carried on a flight.
