Detailed overview

The Allpowers R1500 is a portable power station that plays the power card at the best price. With its 1152 Wh LiFePO4 battery and a 1800 W pure sine wave inverter (up to 3000 W peak), it runs almost every household appliance: a fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, corded power tools, a computer or a router. It is a genuine home backup solution as much as a comfort on the move.

Its trump card is the power-to-price ratio. On connectivity it is very complete: 4 AC outlets, 2 USB-C ports (up to 100 W), 2 USB-A ports and a 12 V car output, enough to power around ten devices at once. Charging is lightning fast: expect about 40 minutes to reach 80% from the mains (input up to 1500 W), and it accepts solar up to 650 W through its built-in MPPT controller, ideal for van life or off-grid use.

Built to last, the R1500 uses an LFP chemistry rated for more than 3500 charge cycles, around ten years of regular use. It includes a UPS function that protects sensitive devices during outages, and its capacity is expandable with the B1000 add-on battery to cope with bigger needs.

Its limits are those of its class: at nearly 16.7 kg, it is made for car camping, van life or home backup rather than being carried for long. But for anyone after a powerful, very well-equipped, ultra-fast-charging power station at a knockdown price, the R1500 offers one of the best value-for-money deals on the market.

Comparison

At around 570 to 700€, the Allpowers R1500 takes on the most sought-after 1000 to 1200 Wh power stations, through searches such as "Allpowers R1500 vs EcoFlow Delta 2" or "R1500 vs Bluetti AC180". Here is how it stacks up against three of its most compared alternatives: the EcoFlow Delta 2, a segment benchmark, the Bluetti AC180, with identical capacity, and the Anker SOLIX C1000, known for its fast recharge.

In short, the Allpowers R1500 stands out as the most aggressive option on price: it matches or beats its rivals on capacity and peak power (3000 W, the highest in the group), with the fastest 0-80% recharge and the lowest price. The EcoFlow Delta 2 keeps the edge of a lighter body (12 kg) and a more mature accessory ecosystem, while the Bluetti AC180 and the Anker SOLIX C1000 remain pricier. For anyone prioritising power and value without minding the weight, the R1500 is very hard to beat.

We lived with the R1500 for several weeks, and for the price it is impressive. The first shock is charging: plugged in when you get home, it is back to 80% by the time you have put the shopping away, around forty minutes. Its 1800 W swallows a kettle, a microwave or a jigsaw without flinching, where many rivals give up. Camping, its 1152 Wh lasted two days with a cool box, lighting, phone charging and a laptop. We liked the 4 AC outlets, rare at this price, and the generous solar input up to 650 W that fills it quickly in the sun. The UPS function kept the router running during a power cut. The one real downside is the weight: at nearly 17 kg, you do not move it one-handed, it is clearly meant for the van, the car or a fixed spot at home. But given what it offers and its price, it is seriously good value.
