Detailed overview: EcoFlow Delta 2 portable power station
The EcoFlow Delta 2 has become a benchmark among portable power stations, and for good reason. With 1024 Wh of capacity, 1800 W of output power and an LFP (LiFePO4) battery rated for more than 3000 cycles, this portable power station ticks the essential boxes for both home backup power and outdoor use.
Its real strength is versatility. The 230V, 1800 W output (up to 2400 W thanks to X-Boost technology, and 2700 W surge) can run more than 90% of household appliances: fridge, microwave, coffee maker, power tools, computer or internet router. You can plug in up to 13 devices at once, including 4 AC sockets, 2 USB-C 100 W ports and several USB-A ports. A true mobile power hub.
When it comes to charging, the Delta 2 excels: from a simple wall socket it goes from 0 to 80% in 50 minutes and reaches 100% in about 80 minutes. On solar, it accepts up to 500 W of input with an MPPT controller (efficiency above 98%), for a full charge in 3 to 6 hours with suitable panels. Car charging via the 12V socket is also available on the move.
Key specifications:

Remote work Ideal
The Delta 2 is a reliable base for a home or mobile workstation: its 1800 W (2400 W X-Boost) run a computer, one or two monitors, a printer, the router and lighting, and its UPS function protects the session from micro-cuts to prevent lost work. Its 1024 Wh ensure long hours of connectivity, expandable to 3 kWh to cover several days without an outlet. Its varied ports, including two 100 W USB-C, recharge peripherals along the way, and a recharge to 80 % in 50 minutes brings it back online quickly between meetings. Compact (12 kg), it moves easily from office to garden or co-working spot.
-
Home & Power cuts Suitable
During an outage, the Delta 2 secures the essentials: its UPS function takes over in under 30 ms to keep the internet box, computer, lighting and a small fridge running without a reboot. Its 1024 Wh cover these loads for several hours, expandable to 3 kWh to last longer, and its 1800 W accept an occasionally hungry appliance. A recharge to 80 % in 50 minutes tops it up quickly, and a solar panel up to 500 W replenishes it during a lasting outage. A good backup for short-to-medium cuts; expansion lets you target a fuller home.
-
Job site & Tools Suitable
On an off-grid site, the Delta 2 brings versatile power in a light format: its 1800 W run many power tools, a drill, sander, jigsaw, and a work light, and its four outlets feed several stations. Its 1024 Wh cover a good part of the day, and a full recharge in 80 minutes tops it up between tasks, without the noise or fumes of a generator. At 12 kg it moves easily from point to point. For very hungry tools or a full day, expansion to 3 kWh brings the needed margin.
-
Camping & Tent Suitable
Car-side camping, the Delta 2 turns a campsite into a comfortable base: its 1024 Wh power a cooler during the day, lighting in the evening and charging for the whole group, and its 1800 W allow a kettle or a booster hotplate. Its four outlets and USB-C ports cover every need without a strip. Rechargeable to 80 % in 50 minutes and up to 500 W from solar, it tops up at camp in good weather, and its expansion to 3 kWh lets it last a long weekend without recharging. Compact (12 kg), it carries easily from boot to tent.
-
Boating Suitable
Aboard, the Delta 2 brings a welcome mobile energy reserve during an extended stop: its 1024 Wh and 1800 W power navigation electronics, a cooler, lighting and device charging, without drawing on the boat’s circuit. Its LiFePO4 chemistry, safer and more stable than conventional lithium, reassures in a confined space, and its expansion to 3 kWh lets it last longer at anchor. Compact (12 kg), it tucks easily into a locker or cabin, and recharges at the dock (80 % in 50 min) or from solar up to 500 W, without running the engine.
-
Health & CPAP Suitable
For a CPAP machine, the Delta 2 offers reassuring security: its 1024 Wh cover several nights of therapy, more if you turn off the heated humidifier or run the device on 12 V, and its expansion to 3 kWh extends autonomy further for travel or long outages. Its UPS function takes over if power fails during sleep, without waking you or interrupting therapy. Its varied ports accept most devices, and a recharge to 80 % in 50 minutes tops it up each day. Quiet, it fits at the bedside at home or travelling.

Our tester's review: Christophe Delpuech
We tried it both in a camper van and at home, and the Delta 2 simply gets the job done. The lightning recharge (80% in under an hour) is a game changer at a motorway stop, and the app is a real plus. It ran a fridge, the router and two laptops for a good part of the day. Only gripe: the fans blow hard during fast charging, but you can quiet them by capping the power. Rugged and expandable.
