Detailed overview: Bluetti AC180 1152Wh portable power station
The Bluetti AC180 is a 1152 Wh portable power station designed as a Swiss army knife of portable energy. It targets anyone who wants a reliable, versatile reserve for camping, the van, outdoor remote work, power cuts or a small worksite, without breaking the bank or lugging an oversized model around.
On power, it delivers 1800 W continuous through its pure sine wave inverter, and climbs to 2700 W thanks to Power Lifting technology, which adapts the voltage to run certain power-hungry resistive appliances (kettle, hair dryer, small heater). Enough to cover the vast majority of household equipment, from the fridge to the laptop by way of a moderate induction hob.
Its battery uses LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) chemistry, known for its safety and lifespan: it targets over 3500 charge cycles, meaning many years of regular use. The AC180 lines up 9 outputs to power several devices at once: mains sockets, USB-C up to 100 W, USB-A and a 12V output.
Its flagship argument remains recharging: on mains, it goes from 0 to 80% in just 45 minutes, real comfort when you want to top up right before leaving. It accepts four charging modes (mains, solar up to 500 W, car and generator), and recharges ideally in the sun with a panel like the Bluetti MP200. The whole thing is controlled and monitored from the Bluetti app (battery level, power, updates).
Rugged, versatile and quick to recharge, the Bluetti AC180 is an excellent entry point into high-capacity stations, provided you accept its 16 kg or so, the price of its capacity and power.
Comparison
At around 600 to 900€, the Bluetti AC180 compares with 1000 to 1200 Wh portable power stations, targeted by searches such as "1000W portable power station" or "camping power station". Here is how it sits against three references: the EcoFlow DELTA 2, the Anker Solix C1000 and the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2.
| Criterion | Bluetti AC180 | EcoFlow DELTA 2 | Anker Solix C1000 | Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Capacity | 1152 Wh | 1024 Wh | 1056 Wh | 1070 Wh |
| Power | 1800 W (2700 W) | 1800 W (2700 W) | 1800 W (2400 W) | 1500 W (3000 W) |
| Recharge 0-80% | ≈ 45 min | ≈ 50 min | ≈ 43 min | ≈ 50 min |
| Battery | LiFePO4 | LiFePO4 | LiFePO4 | LiFePO4 |
| Observed price | ≈ 699 € | ≈ 699 € | ≈ 699 € | ≈ 799 € |
In short, the Bluetti AC180 stands out for its slightly higher capacity (1152 Wh), its very fast recharge and its 9 outputs, at a price in line with the competition. The DELTA 2 plays the EcoFlow ecosystem, the C1000 compactness, and the Jackery peak power. For a first purchase of a versatile high-capacity station, the AC180 offers a very convincing capacity/power/price ratio.

Our tester's review: Christophe Delpuech
The AC180 is one of those stations that put your mind at ease: you take it out of the box, plug in the camping fridge, the coffee maker and the phones, and everything runs without a hitch. Its 1800 W cover the vast majority of everyday devices, and Power Lifting mode genuinely helps out with a kettle or a small resistive heater. We especially appreciated the recharge speed: on mains, it is back to 80% in three quarters of an hour, ideal when you want to top up before leaving. The 9 outputs save you juggling power strips, and monitoring via the Bluetti app is clear. The LiFePO4 battery promises reassuring longevity, well beyond older classic-lithium stations. Two honest caveats: at around 16 kg it carries but does not slip into a backpack, and the fan makes itself heard during fast charging or heavy load. For van, camping, remote work or home backup use, it offers an excellent balance of capacity, power and price.
