Detailed overview: EcoFlow 400W bifacial portable solar panel
The EcoFlow 400W portable solar panel is the most powerful model in the brand's portable solar range, designed to quickly recharge large power stations in the sun. Like the other panels in the series, it uses a bifacial design: its front face catches the sun's direct radiation, while its rear face recovers light reflected by the ground or surrounding surfaces, allowing a conversion rate that can climb up to 25%.
Despite its 400W, it stays light and compact for its category, foldable and transportable. Once deployed, it rests on a stand adjustable to three angles (30°, 45° and 60°), with a built-in sun exposure guide that helps aim it precisely to maximise output throughout the day. Its XT60 cable is built directly in, which eases storage and allows a simple, direct connection to EcoFlow power stations in the RIVER and DELTA series.
On ruggedness, it benefits from IP68 certification, high protection against water and dust. Note however: this panel is designed to be deployed then stowed, and is not recommended for a permanent fixed installation outside or on a vehicle.
Powerful, bifacial and adjustable in angle, the EcoFlow 400W solar panel is for anyone who wants the fastest possible portable solar recharge for a large power station, camping, in a van, in a motorhome or off-grid.
Comparison
At around 550 to 750€, the EcoFlow 400W solar panel compares with large 350 to 400W portable solar panels, targeted by searches such as "powerful portable solar panel" or "400W foldable solar panel". Here is how it sits against three references: the Bluetti PV350, the Jackery SolarSaga 200W and the EcoFlow 220W panel.
| Criterion | EcoFlow 400W | Bluetti PV350 | Jackery SolarSaga 200W | EcoFlow 220W |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Power | 400W | 350W | 200W | 220W |
| Design | Bifacial (up to 25%) | Monofacial | Monofacial | Bifacial |
| Stand / angle | 3 angles + guide | Kickstands | Kickstands | 30-60° + guide |
| Rating | IP68 | IP65 | IP67 | IP68 |
| Observed price | ≈ 649 € | ≈ 599 € | ≈ 599 € | ≈ 399 € |
In short, the EcoFlow 400W panel offers the highest power of the group and a bifacial design the Bluetti PV350 and the Jackery SolarSaga 200W do not have, with a three-angle stand and excellent IP68 rating. The 220W keeps the same strengths with less power for half the price. To recharge a large station as fast as possible in the sun, the 400W is the most efficient portable panel.

Our tester's review: Julien De Jurquet
At 400W, this panel plays in a different league from classic portable models: it is the one you bring out to quickly recharge a large power station, and it delivers. In full sun, the bifacial design grabs extra watts from the rear, and we saw our station climb noticeably faster than with a 200W panel. The three-angle stand (30, 45, 60°) and the built-in exposure guide help find the best yield with no guesswork, and the already-in-place XT60 cable plugs straight into our EcoFlow stations. It stays foldable and transportable, but let's be clear: at 400W it is large once deployed and needs space, this is not a panel you carry for a simple day trip. The IP68 rating is reassuring when the weather turns. One point to note: EcoFlow advises against leaving it hung permanently outside or on a vehicle, it is made to be deployed then stowed, not for a fixed installation. To quickly recharge a large station while camping or off-grid, it is the most efficient panel in the range.
Frequently asked questions: EcoFlow 400W bifacial portable solar panel
Its 400W are designed to quickly recharge large power stations (DELTA series in particular). Its built-in XT60 cable plugs straight into them. It is the most powerful panel in the EcoFlow portable range.
The front face catches direct sun and the rear face recovers light reflected by the ground, which increases output. The conversion rate can reach 25%, above a classic monofacial panel.
No. EcoFlow advises against hanging it for long periods outside or on a vehicle. It is designed to be deployed then stowed, not for a permanent fixed installation. For that, prefer a flexible panel.
Its stand offers three angles (30°, 45°, 60°) and a built-in sun exposure guide helps aim for the best sunlight, to maximise output throughout the day.
