Detailed overview: Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 portable power station 1070Wh
The Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 is the new generation of the brand's most popular portable power station. It keeps the benchmark 1070Wh capacity, but in a 23% more compact and noticeably lighter body (around 10.8 kg), with a folding handle that makes one-hand carrying easy. It is the ideal station for camping, RVs, outdoor work or home backup power.
On power, it moves up a level: its inverter delivers 1500W continuously (3000W peak), 50% more than the previous generation. So it runs demanding appliances that a typical 1 kWh station refuses: kettle, coffee maker, induction hob, small fridge, light power tools. Six outputs let you power several devices at once: 2 AC outlets, 2 USB-C ports up to 100W (perfect for a laptop), 1 USB-A port and a 12V car socket.
The real strength of this v2 is its charging. Thanks to ChargeShield 2.0 technology, emergency mode (enabled from the app) allows a full charge in 1 hour from a regular wall socket, while quiet mode brings noise below 30 dB. It also accepts up to 400W of solar input for off-grid charging. Its LiFePO4 battery is rated for 4000 cycles at 70% capacity, a lifespan of up to 10 years, and it is protected by 62 safety mechanisms.
Controllable via Bluetooth and WiFi with the Jackery app, it shows remaining runtime, manages charging modes and updates remotely. In short, the Explorer 1000 v2 combines high power, express charging and rare portability for this capacity, making it one of the best all-round stations on the market.
Comparison
How does the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 compare with its main 1 kWh rivals?
| Model | Capacity | Power | Weight | Recharge 0-100% |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 | 1070Wh | 1500W | 10.8 kg | 1 h |
| EcoFlow Delta 2 | 1024Wh | 1800W | 12 kg | 80 min |
| Anker Solix C1000 | 1056Wh | 1800W | 12.9 kg | 58 min |
Against the EcoFlow Delta 2 and the Anker Solix C1000, the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 focuses on lightness (10.8 kg, the lightest of the trio) and a full recharge in 1 hour. Its rivals offer slightly higher peak power (1800W), but the Jackery stays the easiest to carry one-handed and often the best priced.

Our tester's review: Christophe Delpuech
We carried the Explorer 1000 v2 over several weekends, and it is exactly the format we hoped for from Jackery. At 10.8 kg with a folding handle, it slips into the boot without a fight, yet it still puts out 1500W continuously, enough to run a kettle or an induction hob while camping, which many stations this size cannot do. The 1070Wh easily cover a night of camping fridge plus charging phones and a laptop. Recharging is the real highlight: in emergency mode via the app, we went from 0 to 100% in one hour on a regular socket, and in quiet mode it drops below 30 dB, so you forget it is there. The two 100W USB-C ports are perfect for a MacBook. The only small gripe is the fairly basic screen and the fan spinning up in the fastest mode. Otherwise, it is a solid, well-built, dependable choice.
