Detailed overview: Zendure 2 x 500W bifacial solar panel kit
This Zendure product bundles two rigid 500W bifacial solar panels, designed to maximise output on a balcony, a terrace or a flat roof. Their defining trait is bifacial technology: in addition to the front face, the rear face captures light reflected by the ground or surrounding surfaces. Depending on the available reflection (light ground, gravel, snow, white railing), the two modules' combined output can reach up to 1300 Wp, a clear bonus over a conventional panel of the same nominal power.
The cells are monocrystalline, in a dual-glass (glass-glass) structure that durably protects the cells and enables this two-sided capture. Zendure claims a conversion efficiency of up to 22.5%, thanks to advanced cells and manufacturing, with a light-redirecting film technology that further improves bifacial output. The panels behave well in low light (early morning, overcast sky, dusk), where the most useful kilowatt-hours are often gathered.
On toughness, the modules are certified to withstand winds of 2400 Pascals and snow loads of 5400 Pascals, and their IP68 junction box ensures high resistance to water and dust. The MC4 connectors (MC4 Evo2 compatible) make them directly connectable to a microinverter or a hub of Zendure's SolarFlow ecosystem (Hub 2000, Hyper 2000, SolarFlow 800), and most setups on the market.
Note: these are rigid, heavy panels (the set weighs around 27 kg) that require solid mounting. To get the best from bifacial, it is advisable to install them slightly raised or tilted, so light also reaches the rear face. In these conditions, this pair of 500W panels offers one of the best output potentials in the category for balcony self-consumption.

☀ How fast does this panel recharge a power station?
The Zendure 500W Bifacial Solar Panels panel (500 W) recharges a Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 (1070 Wh) in ~3h05 or an EcoFlow Delta 2 Max (2048 Wh) in ~5h50, in full sun.
| Compact / mid | Recharge |
|---|---|
| Jackery Explorer 100 Plus (99 Wh) | ~15 min |
| EcoFlow Trail 200 DC (192 Wh) | ~35 min |
| Allpowers Volix P300 (256 Wh) | ~45 min |
| EcoFlow River 3 Plus (286 Wh) | ~50 min |
| High capacity | Recharge |
|---|---|
| Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 (2042 Wh) | ~5h50 |
| Allpowers R3500 V2 (2880 Wh) | ~8h15 |
| Jackery Explorer 3000 v2 (3072 Wh) | ~8h45 |
| Fossibot F3600 Pro (3840 Wh) | ~11h |
Estimate in full sun (ideal conditions). In practice, count on 3 to 5 hours of truly useful sunlight per day, so a full recharge may span several days depending on weather and orientation.
Comparison
How do these Zendure bifacial panels compare with other balcony panels?
| Criterion | Zendure 500W bifacial | Zendure 420W flexible | Standard 450W rigid panel |
|---|---|---|---|
| Power | 2 x 500W (up to 1300 Wp) | 420W (2 x 210W) | 450W |
| Bifacial | Yes, both sides | No | No |
| Efficiency | Up to 22.5% | Up to 23% | About 21% |
| Toughness | Wind 2400 Pa, snow 5400 Pa | IP67, flexible | Standard |
| Type | Rigid dual-glass | Flexible | Rigid |
Against flexible or conventional rigid panels, the Zendure bifacial version recovers extra output on the rear face and resists the weather better thanks to its dual-glass structure. In return, it is heavier and demands careful, ideally raised mounting to exploit bifacial gain.
Our tester's review: Julien De Jurquet
Bifacial changes the game when you have a bright surface behind the panels (light ground, white railing, gravel, snow): by also catching the light reflected onto the rear face, these Zendure modules recover extra output that ordinary panels leave on the table. On paper two 500W modules, but up to 1300 Wp combined in good reflection conditions: the gain is real at midday and in clear weather. The dual-glass build inspires confidence over time, and the wind (2400 Pa) and snow (5400 Pa) resistance certifications confirm they are built to stay outdoors all year. The 22.5% efficiency and the good low-light behaviour (morning, overcast sky) are there. Two caveats: these are rigid, heavy panels, so they need solid mounting and a suitable frame, ideally slightly raised to let light reach the rear face; and without a reflective surface behind, the bifacial bonus stays modest. But to maximise output on a balcony or a flat roof, it is an excellent choice.
Frequently asked questions: Zendure 2 x 500W bifacial solar panel kit
A bifacial panel catches light on the front and the back (light reflected by the ground or bright surfaces). Depending on available reflection, the two modules' combined output can reach up to 1300 Wp, versus 1000 Wp from the front alone.
Two rigid bifacial panels of 500W each. The set weighs around 27 kg and connects through MC4 connectors, compatible with Zendure's microinverters and SolarFlow hubs.
Yes. These dual-glass panels are certified to withstand winds of 2400 Pa and snow loads of 5400 Pa, and their IP68 junction box protects them from water and dust. They are designed for a permanent outdoor installation.
You need to let light reach the rear face: favour a slightly raised or tilted mount, above a bright surface (light ground, gravel, white railing). Without reflection behind, the bifacial gain stays modest.
