Detailed overview: Jackery Explorer 300 Plus power station 288Wh
The Jackery Explorer 300 Plus is a compact portable power station aiming for the perfect balance between lightness and versatility. With its 288Wh of capacity and a power of 300W continuous (600W peak) for just 3.75 kg, it carries in one hand while offering real AC outlets, which clearly sets it apart from a simple power bank.
It is designed for light camping, vans, outdoor remote work and home backup top-ups. Its connectivity is complete for its size: 2 AC outlets, 2 USB-C ports up to 100W (perfect for a laptop or a smartphone fast-charging) and a USB-A port. You can therefore power and charge several devices at once: lighting, internet router, drone, camera, phones.
Its big asset is its LiFePO4 battery, designed for 3000 charge cycles at 70% capacity, a lifespan of up to 10 years, far beyond the conventional lithium batteries of rival small stations. Charging is fast, about 2 hours from a wall socket, and it is compatible with Jackery SolarSaga solar panels for off-grid charging while camping.
Its only limits are logically due to its format: its 300W is not suited to demanding appliances like a kettle or a hob, and it does not offer a remote monitoring app. For a compact, durable energy reserve with AC outlets, the Explorer 300 Plus remains one of the best small stations on the market.
Comparison
How does the Jackery Explorer 300 Plus compare with rival compact stations?
| Model | Capacity | Power | Weight | Battery |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jackery Explorer 300 Plus | 288Wh | 300W | 3.75 kg | LiFePO4 |
| EcoFlow River 3 | 245Wh | 300W | 3.4 kg | LiFePO4 |
| Bluetti EB3A | 268Wh | 600W | 4.6 kg | LiFePO4 |
In the compact category, the Jackery Explorer 300 Plus offers the largest capacity of the trio (288Wh) for a contained weight (3.75 kg). The Bluetti EB3A delivers more power (600W) and the EcoFlow River 3 is the lightest, but the Jackery stands out for its reputation for reliability and its dual 100W USB-C, handy for laptops.

Our tester's review: Christophe Delpuech
The Explorer 300 Plus is the little station you take everywhere without thinking. At 3.75 kg, it fits in one hand and slips into a backpack, but unlike a simple power bank it offers real AC outlets: we plugged in a small camera charger and a lamp while charging a laptop over the 100W USB-C. Its 288Wh is plenty for a weekend of bivouac for two (phones, lighting, drone) or as a backup reserve at home. We like the LiFePO4 battery, far more durable than conventional lithium, and the two-hour recharge. Its limits are logical for the size: 300W is not enough for large appliances, and there is no companion app. But for a reliable, compact and well-finished top-up station, it is a safe bet.
