The Renogy 100W rigid panel is a classic of fixed solar setups, and its latest N-type cell version marks a real step forward. Its 20% module efficiency, with cells rated up to 25%, shows: at equal surface, it produces noticeably more than a conventional PERC panel, which matters when roof space on a van is limited. The aluminium frame and tempered glass inspire confidence for an installation that will stay outside for years, and we like that it stays relatively light (about 5.9 kg) for a rigid panel. Its real output obviously depends on sunlight and orientation, but well-aimed at the sun, it easily charges a leisure battery via an MPPT controller. The only things to plan for are the installation (mounting, MC4 wiring, a separately supplied controller) and needing several panels for a large setup. For the base of a reliable, durable solar kit, it is a safe bet.
