Detailed overview: EcoFlow 100W flexible solar panel for van and boat
The EcoFlow 100W flexible solar panel answers a need that classic rigid panels do not cover: permanent solar installation on curved or light surfaces. Where a framed panel stays flat and heavy, this flexible model curves up to 258°, letting it easily hug the domed roof of a van, a motorhome, a boat, a caravan or a cabin.
Its main asset is its lightness: it weighs just 2.3 kg, a fraction of the weight of a rigid panel of equivalent power. You can therefore install it on structures that would not bear a heavy load, without compromising the whole. Thin and discreet, it fixes close to the surface for a clean, aerodynamic and durable look.
On durability, it benefits from IP68 certification, high protection against water and dust that destines it for permanent outdoor exposure, whatever the weather. Its universal compatibility lets it fit most solar setups, whether fitted with an EcoFlow charge controller or another brand, via the appropriate solar connectors.
Light, flexible and rugged, the EcoFlow 100W flexible solar panel is for anyone who wants a fixed, discreet solar source to fit out a van, a motorhome, a boat or a cabin, and gain autonomy without adding weight or drilling their setup needlessly.
Comparison
At around 100 to 180€, the EcoFlow 100W flexible solar panel compares with 100W flexible solar panels, targeted by searches such as "flexible solar panel" or "van flexible solar panel". Here is how it sits against three references: the Renogy 100W Flexible, the Allpowers flexible and a classic rigid 100W panel.
| Criterion | EcoFlow flexible 100W | Renogy 100W Flexible | Allpowers flexible | Classic rigid 100W |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Power | 100W | 100W | 100W | 100W |
| Type | Flexible (258°) | Flexible (248°) | Flexible | Rigid |
| Weight | 2.3 kg | 2.8 kg | ≈ 2.5 kg | ≈ 7 kg |
| Rating | IP68 | IP67 | IP65 | IP65 |
| Observed price | ≈ 129 € | ≈ 150 € | ≈ 110 € | ≈ 90 € |
In short, the EcoFlow 100W flexible panel stands out for its very strong curve (up to 258°), its featherweight (2.3 kg) and its very good IP68 rating, ideal for a fixed installation on a curved surface. A classic rigid panel is cheaper but far heavier and impossible to curve, while the Renogy and the Allpowers offer similar specs. To durably fit out a van, a boat or a cabin without adding weight, the EcoFlow 100W flexible is an excellent choice.

Our tester's review: Julien De Jurquet
This 100W flexible panel won us over for everything a rigid panel cannot do: permanent installation on a curved surface. On the domed roof of a van, it lay flat effortlessly thanks to its flexibility (up to 258°), and once fixed, you forget it completely, it does not stick out, catch the wind or break the vehicle's line. Its 2.3 kg are a real asset, you can put it on light structures without worrying about weight, unlike a framed rigid panel. In use, 100W is enough to maintain a leisure battery or give a constant daytime top-up, ideal to never run flat on a trip. The IP68 rating is reassuring for permanent exposure to the weather. Two honest caveats: like any flexible panel, it must stay well ventilated (laid directly on a dark surface, it heats up and loses a little yield), and it has no stand or kickstand, this is not a foldable portable panel but a permanent solution. To fit out a van, a boat or a cabin without adding weight or drilling, it is exactly what you need.
