Detailed overview: Jackery SolarSaga 100W foldable solar panel
The Jackery SolarSaga 100W is the brand's benchmark portable solar panel, designed to recharge Explorer power stations off-grid, far from any socket. It is built around monocrystalline solar cells offering a conversion efficiency of up to 23%, among the best in its class, which lets it produce better, including in hot weather, than conventional panels.
Its great strength is versatility. It has a DC output that directly powers Jackery Explorer stations (300 Plus, 500 v2, 1000 v2, etc.) to recharge them in the sun, but also USB-C and USB-A ports that let you plug in a smartphone, a tablet or a camera directly, without going through a station. That is ideal on a hike or a light bivouac.
On the design side, it folds in two, has a carry handle and adjustable built-in kickstands that let you tilt it towards the sun to maximise output. Its surface is splash-resistant, making it suitable for outdoor use. Once folded, it stays flat and slides easily into a boot or behind a seat.
Like any solar panel, its output depends heavily on sunlight and orientation: in full sun and well-aimed, it delivers most of its 100W, but you have to re-aim it regularly and accept a drop under cloudy skies. For portable solar charging that is reliable and simple to deploy, the SolarSaga 100W remains one of the best choices on the market, especially alongside a Jackery station.
Comparison
How does the Jackery SolarSaga 100W compare with rival portable panels?
| Model | Power | Efficiency | USB outputs | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jackery SolarSaga 100W | 100W | Up to 23% | Yes (USB-C + USB-A) | About 4 kg |
| EcoFlow 110W | 110W | Up to 22% | No | About 5 kg |
| Anker Solix PS100 | 100W | Up to 23% | No | About 5 kg |
At comparable power, the SolarSaga 100W stands out for its built-in USB-C and USB-A outputs, which let you charge devices directly without a station, where the EcoFlow and Anker panels only have a DC output. It is also a little lighter, an asset for portability.

Our tester's review: Julien De Jurquet
The SolarSaga 100W is the logical companion for a Jackery station, and it does the job with real seriousness. Unfolded, it sets up in seconds thanks to its built-in kickstands, and well-aimed in full sun it easily climbs to around 70 to 85 real watts, enough to recharge an Explorer 300 or 500 within the day. What we like most is the versatility: on top of the DC output for stations, its USB-C and USB-A ports let you plug in a phone or a tablet directly, handy on a hike when you leave the station behind. Foldable and fitted with a handle, it slides flat into the boot. Two honest gripes: like any panel, its output drops fast under hazy skies, and you have to re-aim it at the sun regularly to get the most out of it. For reliable, portable solar charging, it is a safe bet.
Frequently asked questions: Jackery SolarSaga 100W foldable solar panel
Via its DC output, it is compatible with Jackery Explorer power stations (300 Plus, 500 v2, 1000 v2, 2000 v2, etc.). Several panels can be combined to recharge larger stations faster.
Yes. On top of the DC output for stations, the SolarSaga 100W has USB-C and USB-A ports that let you plug in a smartphone, a tablet or a camera directly, without going through a station.
In full sun and well-aimed, it delivers most of its 100W, often around 70 to 85 real watts. Output drops under hazy skies and if it is not aimed at the sun, like any solar panel.
Its surface resists splashes, making it suitable for outdoor camping use. It is not, however, designed to be immersed or left under heavy prolonged rain.
