Detailed overview: Bluetti EB3A portable power station 268Wh
The Bluetti EB3A is a compact portable power station that has become an entry-level benchmark. With its 268Wh of capacity and 600W continuous (1200W peak) of power, it targets portable top-ups, light camping and a small backup reserve, all in a small body and a featherweight 4.6 kg.
Its main asset is charging: thanks to a 430W input, it goes from 0 to 80% in just 30 minutes from a wall socket, a rare feat in this segment. It also accepts up to 200W of solar input and recharges from a car, making it very versatile on the move. Its LiFePO4 battery is rated for 2500 cycles at 80% capacity, far more durable than conventional lithium batteries.
On connectivity, it is remarkably complete for its size: 2 AC outlets, a USB-C 100W port (ideal for a laptop), USB-A ports, a 12V car socket, DC outputs and even a 15W wireless charging pad on top to place a compatible smartphone directly. A clever feature called Power Lifting lets it briefly run resistive appliances up to 1200W.
It is managed via the Bluetti app (Bluetooth) to track runtime, set charging speed and limit noise. Its only limit is logically its capacity and power: it is not made for large appliances like an induction hob or a hair dryer running continuously. For electronics, lighting, a cool box or a router as backup, the EB3A remains one of the best compact stations on the market at its price.
Comparison
How does the Bluetti EB3A compare with rival compact stations?
| Model | Capacity | Power | Weight | Wireless charging |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bluetti EB3A | 268Wh | 600W | 4.6 kg | Yes (15W) |
| EcoFlow River 3 | 245Wh | 300W | 3.4 kg | No |
| Jackery Explorer 300 Plus | 288Wh | 300W | 3.75 kg | No |
In the compact category, the Bluetti EB3A stands out for its 600W of power, double that of the EcoFlow River 3 and the Jackery Explorer 300 Plus, and for its built-in wireless charging pad. A little heavier, it runs more appliances and recharges very fast (80% in 30 minutes).

Our tester's review: Christophe Delpuech
The EB3A is the little station that does a lot for its price. We first used it camping to run a cool box, lighting and to charge phones and a camera: its 268Wh is plenty for a light weekend, and at 4.6 kg you move it without thinking. The real surprise is charging: on the mains, it is back to 80% in a short half hour, which is impressive in this segment and very handy when you leave in a rush. The small wireless pad on top is a nice bonus for the phone. Just do not overestimate its 600W: it is perfect for electronics and small appliances, but a kettle barely gets through via Power Lifting mode and drains the runtime fast. For portable top-ups or a small backup reserve, at this price it is a very good choice, reliable and well finished.
