Detailed overview

The Allpowers R600 is a portable power station that focuses on the essentials at a keen price. With its 299 Wh LiFePO4 battery and a 600 W output (up to 1200 W peak), it powers most everyday portable devices: a laptop, lighting, a small fridge, a router, a drone or photo gear. Its LFP chemistry is rated for more than 3500 charge cycles, around ten years of regular use.

Its main strength is the features-to-price ratio. On connectivity it is very complete for its size: 2 AC outlets, 2 USB-C ports, 2 USB-A ports, a 12 V car output and, above all, a 15 W wireless charging pad on top, handy for dropping your phone down without a cable. Charging is fast: expect about 1 hour for a full charge from the mains, and it also accepts solar (with an MPPT controller) and car charging.

The R600 also includes a UPS function that switches to battery in under 10 ms during an outage, ideal for protecting a router, a NAS or a desktop computer. Another major argument: Allpowers offers a 6-year warranty, one of the longest on the market in this segment, for real peace of mind.

Its limits are logical for the class: 299 Wh remains a top-up capacity (perfect for camping, home-office backup or a weekend, but not for running a heater over time), the capacity is not expandable, and its 5.8 kg weight keeps it portable without being featherlight. For a reliable, well-equipped first power station at a gentle price, the R600 is a very compelling choice.

Comparison

Under 300€, the Allpowers R600 competes with the most sought-after compact 300 Wh power stations, through searches such as "Allpowers R600 vs EcoFlow River 3 Plus" or "R600 vs Bluetti EB3A". Here is how it stacks up against three of its most compared alternatives: the EcoFlow River 3 Plus, its most direct rival, the Bluetti EB3A, a segment staple, and the Jackery Explorer 300 Plus, prized for its light weight.

In short, the Allpowers R600 stands out as the best value option: it matches the EcoFlow River 3 Plus and the Bluetti EB3A on power and charging speed, while offering the lowest price and the longest warranty (6 years), plus a built-in wireless charger. The EcoFlow River 3 Plus keeps the edge of expandable capacity, and the Jackery Explorer 300 Plus remains the lightest but caps out at 300 W. For anyone after the best features-to-price ratio in this category, the R600 is hard to beat.

We used the R600 for several weeks, and for the price it is a pleasant surprise. The first good point is charging: left on a socket over lunch, it comes back full, barely over an hour. Out and about, its 299 Wh covered an evening of camping with an electric cool box, an LED string light and topping up two phones, without strain. We liked the little wireless charging pad on top: drop the phone on it and you are done, no hunting for a cable. The two AC outlets and USB-C ports are plenty for portable use. The UPS function bailed us out during a brief power cut at home, the router did not notice. And above all, the 6-year warranty is genuinely reassuring on a product at this price. Two honest downsides: 299 Wh is a top-up capacity you have to manage, and the lack of battery expansion limits future-proofing. But at this price it is hard to be picky: it is an excellent entry point into portable power.
