We set up the R2500 Plus as a home backup reserve, and its rolling suitcase format genuinely changes things: you can move it from room to room with no real effort despite its 29 kg, something no rival at this capacity offers. In use, its 2500 W continuous output swallowed a kettle, a hairdryer and an induction hob running at once without flinching, we even flirted with 2250 W and it didn't blink. Mains charging lives up to the claim, a little over an hour for a full charge, and UPS mode kicked in within a fraction of a second during a test outage, with the computer not even restarting. The silicone covers on every port are a smart touch that keeps the sockets from oxidising outdoors. The one real downside is the weight: even with the wheels, carrying it up a flight of stairs without a lift takes some effort. For serious home backup or semi-permanent use in a van, it's a very safe bet.
