Detailed overview

With the Delta 3 Classic, EcoFlow brings its Delta 3 range down to the essentials: it keeps the power and the reliability, and trims the price and the weight. The result is a 1024 Wh portable power station, the most affordable and the most mobile in the series, designed for camping, van life and occasional home backup.

On power, nothing has been held back: the 230V output delivers 1800 W continuous, rises to 2400 W with X-Boost technology and handles up to 3600 W surge. Enough to run a fridge, a coffee maker, an induction hob, an air fryer or corded power tools, just like at home. The automotive-grade LFP (LiFePO4) battery is rated for 4000 cycles before dropping to 80% of its capacity, meaning more than ten years of regular use.

Two strengths stand out in use. First, charging: from a simple socket, the Classic goes from 0 to 80% in 45 minutes and fills up in a little under an hour. On solar, it accepts up to 500 W with an MPPT controller, for a full charge in about 2.5 hours. Second, the quiet: EcoFlow rates it under 30 dB at 600 W, real comfort in a tent, a van or indoors during an outage.

Key specifications:

  • Capacity: 1024 Wh, LFP (LiFePO4) cells, 4000 cycles
  • AC output: 1800 W continuous, 2400 W X-Boost, 3600 W surge, pure sine wave
  • Recharge: mains 1400 W (0 to 80% in 45 min), solar up to 500 W
  • Inverter (EPS) switchover in 10 ms for sensitive devices
  • Outlets: 2 AC sockets, USB-C 100 W, USB-C 30 W, USB-A
  • Weight: about 12.1 kg, dimensions 398 x 202 x 284 mm, 5-year warranty
  • Control and scheduling via the EcoFlow app (Wi-Fi and Bluetooth)

To reach this price, EcoFlow made deliberate choices: fewer ports, no 12V car socket and a solar input capped at 500 W. If you are aiming for a large expandable setup, the Delta 3 Plus remains a better fit. But for a simple, powerful, light and quiet energy reserve at a low price, the Delta 3 Classic is one of the most convincing options on the market in 2026.

Comparison

At 549 € (599 € recommended), the Delta 3 Classic goes up against the most sought-after 1 kWh power stations in its price range, through searches like "Delta 3 Classic vs Bluetti AC180" or "Delta 3 Classic vs Anker Solix C1000". Here is how it stacks up against three direct alternatives: the Bluetti AC180, a value-for-money benchmark; the Anker Solix C1000, known for its charging speed and expandability; and the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2, one of the lightest in the category.

In short, the EcoFlow Delta 3 Classic stands out as the best power-to-price ratio of the group: it offers 1800 W and the highest peak power (3600 W) at the lowest price, in a light and among the quietest formats. The Anker Solix C1000 keeps the edge on expandability, the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 is the lightest but caps at 1500 W continuous, and the Bluetti AC180 offers a little more raw capacity but in a noticeably heavier casing.

I took it out in a van and kept it at home for a few days, and honestly, for the price, it ticks almost every box. First impression out of the box: it is surprisingly light for 1 kWh, you move it with one hand without thinking. Outdoors, I ran a compressor cooler, charged the phones and two laptops, and even pulled out the blender for a fruit juice in the middle of nowhere: the 1800 W takes it in stride. What impressed me most is the silence, even under load you forget it is there, a real plus when you sleep next to it in a van. Mains recharge is express, a lunch break is enough to leave nearly full. The compromises are real and worth knowing: few USB ports, no 12V car socket, and the solar input is capped at 500 W. Nothing dealbreaking for typical off-grid use. In the end, if you want a simple, powerful and quiet station around 550 euros, it is a purchase I recommend without hesitation.

Frequently asked questions

The Classic is the stripped-down, cheaper version: same 1024 Wh capacity and same 1800 W output, but fewer ports, no 12V socket and a solar input capped at 500 W (versus 1000 W on the Plus). It is about 300 euros cheaper and aimed at simple, off-grid use.

With 1800 W continuous (2400 W with X-Boost, 3600 W surge), it powers the vast majority of everyday devices: fridge, coffee maker, microwave, induction hob, air fryer or corded tools. Only very power-hungry continuous loads exceed its capabilities.

On a mains socket, it goes from 0 to 80% in 45 minutes and reaches 100% in a little under an hour. On solar (up to 500 W), expect about 2.5 hours for a full charge in good weather. Car charging is possible with an optional alternator charger.

The Classic accepts up to 500 W of solar input through its MPPT controller. A 400 W panel recharges it in about 2.5 hours, two 220 W panels in 4 to 5 hours in good sunlight. Aim for a well-oriented, shade-free panel.

It is designed above all as a simple, standalone station. EcoFlow's spec sheet mentions extra-battery compatibility, but several hands-on tests describe it as a closed system focused on the essentials. For a truly expandable setup, the Delta 3 Plus is the better choice.

Yes, it is one of its strengths. EcoFlow rates it under 30 dB at 600 W, roughly the level of a whisper, and reviews confirm very discreet operation. That is a real plus for sleeping next to it in a van, in a tent, or using it indoors during an outage.
