The Zendure SolarFlow 2400 AC is an AC-coupled home battery. Unlike the microinverters in the same family, it does not take solar panels directly: it sits on the AC side, between the installation and the home, and works just as well with existing photovoltaic production as with the grid alone.
Its nominal rating is 2400 watts in and out on the grid-tied terminal, at 230 volts and 50 hertz. The battery charges and discharges at 2400 watts, with a 2600 watt discharge peak, across a voltage range of 37.5 to 54.75 volts DC. Full AC cycle efficiency is quoted at up to 93 %.
The entry configuration includes an AB3000X battery of 2880 watt-hours, that is 60 amp-hours at 48 volts, in lithium iron phosphate cells rated for 6000 cycles. Stacking six modules brings the system to 17.28 kWh, on a par with complete residential storage. The AB3000X battery can also be ordered separately to grow the installation later.
An off-grid terminal supplies 800 watts at 230 volts: that is the backup function, keeping the fridge, the router and the lighting alive during a cut. Note that the enclosure's IP65 rating no longer applies once that socket is in use or the weatherproof cover is not properly closed. The unit measures 410 x 302 x 75 mm for 10.12 kilos and works from -20 to +60 °C.

The question to settle is not capacity but how it connects. If you are starting from scratch with balcony panels, an MPPT unit such as the SolarFlow 800 Plus costs half as much and does the job. The SolarFlow 2400 AC makes sense when production already exists, when 800 watts becomes limiting, or when the main goal is arbitrage between off-peak and peak hours. Against the same brand's AiO 2400, it triples both the power and the possible expansion at a similar price.

The SolarFlow 2400 AC marks a change of nature in Zendure's range, and that is worth understanding before buying. The SolarFlow 800 and its derivatives are microinverters: you plug solar panels into them. This one has no photovoltaic input, it is AC-coupled. In other words it sits between your installation and the home, and stores electricity indifferently from your existing panels or from the grid when it is cheap. That is home-battery logic, not balcony-kit logic, and it opens a use case microinverters do not cover: pure tariff arbitrage, profitable without a single panel. The figures follow that ambition. The 2400 watt rating in both directions absorbs a production peak or covers a household's real evening consumption, where the regulatory 800 watts of a balcony kit only erase the standby baseline. The 2880 watt-hours of the supplied AB3000X battery represent a full evening for an average household, and stacking to 17.28 kWh puts the system on a par with conventional residential storage. The quoted 6000 cycles on LiFePO4 cells sit within today's serious standards. Three points deserve attention before ordering. The backup outlet is limited to 800 watts: it saves the fridge, the router and the lighting during a cut, not the hob. The IP65 rating lapses as soon as that off-grid socket is used or the cover is not properly closed, which Zendure states honestly. Finally, at 1199 euros in its entry configuration, the unit addresses buyers who have already worked out their off-peak to peak price gap: that is where its payback lies, more than in solar self-consumption.
