The Zendure SolarFlow 800 Pro 2 is the brand's flagship balcony power unit: a hybrid microinverter, a 1920 Wh lithium iron phosphate battery and an intelligent energy manager in one device, fitted between the panels and a domestic socket.
Its distinguishing feature is the solar stage. Four independent MPPT trackers of 660 W each accept 2640 W of panels in total. On a conventional two-input installation, two differently oriented modules penalise one another because the inverter settles for a compromise. Here each one works for itself, which matters a great deal on an apartment balcony where panels are often split between railing and wall.
Bidirectional AC output reaches 1000 W, 200 W more than the rest of the range. Bidirectional means the unit can both feed the home and draw from the grid to fill the battery, with a low-voltage start that lets production begin early in the morning.
The built-in 1920 Wh battery can be doubled to 3840 Wh with a Zendure AB2000L. The energy management system connects to over 840 European electricity suppliers across 32 markets to exploit hourly tariffs, and pairs with the brand's 3CT smart meter for real-time consumption tracking.
If your priority is storage capacity rather than solar input, the SolarFlow 800 Plus suits better: cheaper, it climbs to 11.52 kWh. And to start small, the SolarFlow 800 on its own remains the most affordable way into the ecosystem.

The question to ask is simple: is your limit the panel area or the storage capacity? If you can install a lot of solar, or if it faces awkwardly, the Pro 2's four trackers are worth the premium. If you mainly want to accumulate energy, the SolarFlow 800 Plus costs two hundred and forty euros less and goes three times higher in capacity. The previous-generation SolarFlow 800 Pro remains an option if you find it discounted.

The SolarFlow 800 Pro 2 answers a problem balcony owners know well: perfectly south-facing surfaces are rare. With four independent 660 W MPPT trackers, each panel works at its own maximum power point. A module in shade at the end of the day no longer drags the others down, which genuinely changes things on a block facade where panels often end up on two different planes. That is the real technical argument of this version, more so than the 2640 W ceiling, which few balcony installations will ever reach. The 1000 W bidirectional AC output exceeds the 800 W of the rest of the range, leaving some headroom where local rules allow it, or for faster charging from the grid. The onboard energy manager connects to more than 840 European suppliers and exploits hourly tariffs: it charges when electricity is cheap, discharges when it is expensive, and protects the battery in winter by keeping it above an unfavourable state of charge. On paper, that is what the best domestic systems do, at balcony scale. Two reservations. Expansion stops at 3840 Wh with a single AB2000L battery, where the SolarFlow 800 Plus climbs to 11.52 kWh: if your goal is accumulating capacity, this is not the right model. And since the product is recent, it does not yet have enough reviews to derive a reliable rating, which is why we do not display one.

Each tracker seeks the maximum power point of its own panel. With a single tracker for two awkwardly oriented modules, the inverter settles for a compromise and loses yield. With four independent inputs, a shaded panel no longer penalises the others, which is common on an apartment balcony.
3840 Wh, by adding an AB2000L battery to the built-in 1920 Wh. That is well short of the SolarFlow 800 Plus's 11.52 kWh: if storage is your goal, this is not the model for you.
The system reads your supplier's hourly tariffs, the weather forecast and your consumption habits to decide when to charge the battery and when to empty it. In winter it also protects the cells by keeping them above an unfavourable state of charge.
The unit is capable of it, but the power actually permitted depends on national rules. Many simplified balcony regimes cap export at 800 W: check the local rules before configuring the output.
