Detailed overview: Zendure AB2000L 1920 Wh storage battery
The Zendure AB2000L is a 1920 Wh lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) storage module, designed as a capacity extension for the brand's SolarFlow balcony solar systems (notably the Hub 2000 and Hyper 2000 hubs). It is the brick that turns an inverter into a genuine energy reserve: electricity produced during the day is stored, then released in the evening or at peak hours instead of being fed to the grid for free. It replaces the older AB2000S, at a more accessible price.
Safety is a strong focus of this module. The AB2000L includes a condensed aerosol fire suppression system: in the event of overheating or a technical fault (short circuit), the device triggers automatically and smothers the flames without releasing toxic gas. It adds anti-thermal-runaway protection, cell balancing and overcharge protection. Combined with IP65 protection against rain and dust, this makes it a particularly reassuring module for a permanent outdoor installation.
On capacity, each AB2000L offers 1920 Wh (40 Ah at 48 V nominal) and the system stacks up to four batteries, or 7680 Wh (7.68 kWh). To stay operational in cold weather, it features a self-heating function (AC pre-heating) that allows charging down to -20 C, whereas many batteries refuse to charge below 0 C.
Zendure rates the LiFePO4 cells at 6000 cycles, meaning many years of daily use, and covers the module with a 10-year warranty. The AB2000L is controlled through the Zendure app, via the hub it connects to. Note: it is an extension battery for the SolarFlow ecosystem, not a universal block to plug into any inverter.

Against the AB1000, the AB2000L doubles the per-unit capacity (1920 Wh versus 960 Wh) and adds aerosol suppression and better endurance. Compared with the AB2000X, reserved for recent 48 V hubs (SolarFlow 800 Pro, 2400 AC), the AB2000L targets the classic SolarFlow ecosystem (Hub 2000, Hyper 2000).

Our tester's review: Julien De Jurquet
The AB2000L is the new generation of extension battery for SolarFlow hubs (Hub 2000, Hyper 2000): with 1920 Wh per module, it already covers a good part of an evening, at a noticeably gentler price than the previous generation. It keeps the safety pitch that reassures on this kind of permanently installed product: an aerosol fire suppression system that can smother a fire without toxic gas, anti-thermal-runaway protection and an IP65 enclosure for the outdoors. The self-heating, which keeps it charging down to -20 C, makes it a genuine outdoor battery, usable year-round. Stacking remains the ecosystem's great strength: you start with one battery, then add up to four (7.68 kWh). The LiFePO4 cells rated for 6000 cycles and the 10-year warranty reassure over the long run. The only real downside is its weight, which makes it worth choosing its spot carefully at install time. To extend an existing SolarFlow system without breaking the bank, it is now the most logical choice.
Frequently asked questions: Zendure AB2000L 1920 Wh storage battery
The AB2000L is the next generation: same 1920 Wh and same aerosol fire suppression, but cells rated for 6000 cycles and, above all, a more accessible price. It replaces the AB2000S in the range.
No. It is an extension module for Zendure's SolarFlow ecosystem: it connects to a hub (Hub 2000, Hyper 2000) that manages charging, discharging and feed-in. It is not a universal battery to plug into any inverter.
Up to 7.68 kWh by stacking four AB2000L modules of 1920 Wh each. You can start with a single battery and grow the system over time, to suit your needs.
Yes. The AB2000L includes self-heating that keeps the battery operational down to -20 C, and its enclosure is IP65 rated against rain and dust. It is suitable for a year-round outdoor installation.
