Detailed overview: Ugreen 20000mAh power bank with built-in cable

The Ugreen Nexode 45W is a 20,000 mAh power bank that solves an everyday headache: the forgotten cable. It has a built-in USB-C cable, always there when you need it, that doubles as a carrying handle. A genuine all-in-one for travellers who want to pack light.

This built-in cable (17.8 cm) delivers up to 45W over Power Delivery 3.0 (and Galaxy 45W), enough to charge an iPhone 17 to 55% or a Galaxy S25 Ultra to 61% in 30 minutes. The battery has three outputs in total, the built-in USB-C cable plus a USB-C port and a USB-A port, to charge up to three devices at once. An LED display shows the remaining level, handy to see at a glance what is left before you head out.

Its 20,000 mAh (around 74 Wh) recharge an iPhone 17 about 4.2 times, a Galaxy S25 Ultra 3 times, an 11-inch iPad Pro twice or a 13-inch MacBook Air 1.3 times. At 45W it suits phones, tablets and ultraportables such as the MacBook Air; for a more demanding laptop, aim for a more powerful model. It recharges itself in about 4 hours with a 45W or higher charger (not included).

Compact for its capacity (468 g, 15.2 x 7.1 x 3 cm) and under the 100 Wh limit, it is allowed in the aircraft cabin. Compatible with iPhone 17 to 15, Galaxy S25, S24 and A56, iPad and MacBook, UGREEN's Nexode 45W is aimed at anyone who wants a single complete battery, with its cable already in their pocket.

Comparison

At around £26 to £34, the Ugreen Nexode 45W compares with the most common 20,000 mAh power banks, targeted by searches such as "20000mah power bank" or "power bank with built-in cable". Here is how it sits against three references: the Anker 335 (PowerCore 20K), the Baseus Bipow Pro 20000 and the Xiaomi Power Bank 20000.

In short, the Ugreen Nexode 45W stands out for its built-in USB-C cable, absent from all three rivals, combined with faster charging (45W) and a display, at the lowest price. The Anker 335 remains a safe bet but caps at 20W with no screen, the Baseus Bipow Pro adds a display but is limited to 25W, and the Xiaomi plays the price card with no cable or screen. For a complete, self-sufficient travel battery with no cable to carry, the Nexode 45W is the most practical choice.

We slipped the Ugreen Nexode 45W into a weekend bag, and its appeal is obvious from day one: no more digging around for a cable, it is already there, built into the battery and ready to plug into an iPhone or a Galaxy. That detail genuinely changes life on the move, and the cable also works as a little handle to carry it. Charging is quick for this format: in half an hour you get back more than half a phone, and the LED display avoids nasty surprises, you see exactly the percentage left. The three outputs let you charge the phone, earbuds and tablet at the same time, welcome when you travel as a pair. We also like that at 468 g it stays reasonable for 20,000 mAh, and that it passes without trouble in the cabin. Two honest caveats: 45W is enough for a MacBook Air but not for a big laptop, and you have to supply your own wall charger to recharge it quickly (nothing is included beyond the built-in cable). But for a complete travel battery, with its cable always to hand and excellent value, the Nexode 45W is a real success.
