The NWL30 is one of those objects that quickly earn a spot in the car boot or the bivouac bag. On paper, the 3-in-1 smells of gimmick, but in use each function holds up. The 3000-lumen output is genuinely powerful for a light this size, and the stepless color-temperature adjustment, from warm white to cool white, is a real pleasure for switching from a dinner-table mood to true work lighting. The 18,000 mAh battery gives solid runtime and does a real job as a backup power bank, with its USB-C and USB-A outputs. The mosquito-repelling function does the job on summer evenings. We also like the red signaling light and the rugged build. Two reservations: at 515 g it is not ultralight, and its price places it above a simple lantern. But for anyone who wants a single object that lights up, recharges and repels mosquitoes, it is very convincing.
