Detailed overview: Zendure SolarFlow 2400 AC+ - photo 2
The SolarFlow 2400 AC+ is the 2026 generation of Zendure home storage, unveiled in February. It is an AC-coupled battery: it connects on the 230 V side, between the house and the grid, and takes no solar panels directly. It is aimed at anyone with existing photovoltaic production, a balcony kit or a rooftop inverter, who wants to store the surplus, or who would like to charge from the grid when electricity is cheap. To connect panels directly, look at the SolarFlow 2400 Pro instead.
The 2400 Wh LiFePO4 battery (50 Ah at 48 V) is built into the unit, which exchanges up to 2400 W of alternating current. Five AB3000L modules of 2.88 kWh can be stacked underneath, taking the system to 16.8 kWh; the AB3000X batteries of the older SolarFlow 2400 AC are not compatible. Grid output ships limited to 800 W in the app. Raising it to 2400 W requires an electrician to check the circuit, then a confirmation in the app. Zendure sells the unit on its UK store as a hardwired installation: it is certified to ENA G98 and is meant to be fitted by a Part P registered electrician.
An off-grid socket provides backup: 2400 W continuous, 3600 W peak for 200 ms, and up to 3200 W while the grid is present, with the extra drawn from the mains. The case measures 326 x 294 x 251 mm (width, height, depth) and weighs 27.8 kg. It is rated IP65, has no fan, heats its battery in the cold and includes an aerosol fire-suppression system. Zendure backs it with a ten-year warranty and quotes a lifespan of up to fifteen years.
Everything is set up in the Zendure app (2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth) and its HEMS energy manager, which uses the ZENKI AI: it charges when the kilowatt-hour is cheap, discharges at peak times, recognises more than 840 European suppliers and integrates with Home Assistant over MQTT. A smart meter (Zendure Smart Meter 3CT-S or 1CT-S, Shelly Pro 3EM, EverHome EcoTracker) is still needed to match discharge to real consumption and aim for zero export; without one the unit follows a fixed 200 W plan.
The quoted round-trip efficiency reaches 93 %, and an independent test measured about 92 %. Two reservations: over-discharge reported in the first cycles, and the cost of the meter, on top of the unit's price.

Comparison
How does the Zendure SolarFlow 2400 AC+ compare with balcony and home batteries in the same class, for searches like "SolarFlow 2400 AC+ vs Anker Solarbank 3"? Here is how it stands against three references already in the catalogue: the Anker Solix Solarbank 3 E2700 Pro, the EcoFlow Stream Ultra X and the Hoymiles HiBattery 1920 AC.
| Criterion | SolarFlow 2400 AC+ | Solarbank 3 E2700 Pro | Stream Ultra X | HiBattery 1920 AC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starting capacity | 2400 Wh | 2688 Wh | 3840 Wh | 1920 Wh |
| Maximum AC output | 2400 W | 1200 W | 1200 W | 1000 W |
| Direct solar input | No, AC coupled | Yes, 4 MPPT, 3600 W | Yes, 4 MPPT, 2000 W | No, AC coupled |
| Weight | 27.8 kg | 29.2 kg | 39 kg | 24 kg |
| Warranty and ingress protection | 10 years, IP65 | 10 years, IP65 | 10 years, IP65 | 10 years, IP66 |
| Observed price | £899 | ≈ £897 | ≈ £1299 | ≈ £674 |
In short, the SolarFlow 2400 AC+ has the highest power in the comparison, 2400 W against 1000 to 1200 W, at a price in line with the Anker and well below the EcoFlow. Those two take the lead as soon as panels have to be connected without a microinverter, thanks to their MPPT inputs. The Hoymiles, also AC coupled, is the cheapest but the least powerful. For adding storage to existing solar production, the SolarFlow 2400 AC+ remains the most versatile choice.

Our tester's review: Julien De Jurquet
What stands out first is how little there is to do on the solar side: one lead, the app, and the battery works out what to do with the surplus from your panels, with no MPPT to configure and no module to rewire. An independent test measured a round-trip efficiency of about 92 %, the case is silent because there is no fan, and the 2400 W backup socket does its job during a cut. A few caveats. Without a smart meter the unit follows a fixed 200 W plan, so the meter is a real extra cost to budget for. Several reviewers saw the battery dip below its set reserve in the first cycles, which is worth watching. The AI behaviour is somewhat opaque, nothing connects directly on the panel side, and in the UK it is a hardwired job for an electrician. For adding storage to existing solar with a ten-year warranty it is an excellent choice; starting from scratch with panels, the 2400 Pro makes more sense.
Frequently asked questions: Zendure SolarFlow 2400 AC+ - photo 2
No. The SolarFlow 2400 AC+ has no photovoltaic input and no MPPT. It stores the surplus from an installation that already has an inverter, detected by a smart meter. To connect panels directly you need a SolarFlow 2400 Pro or 800 Plus.
To match discharge to real consumption and aim for zero export, yes: a Zendure Smart Meter 3CT-S or 1CT-S, a Shelly Pro 3EM or an EverHome EcoTracker. Without one the unit follows a fixed charge and discharge plan, 200 W by default. Zendure's UK store has bundled a Smart Meter 1CT-S with the unit as part of a launch offer.
No. The 2400 AC+ only accepts AB3000L modules, up to five of 2.88 kWh for 16.8 kWh in total. The AB3000X batteries of the previous generation do not connect to this unit, and the AB3000L does not fit the older model either.
The off-grid socket delivers 2400 W continuous and 3600 W peak for 200 ms, with up to 3200 W while the grid is present: a fridge, a router, lighting and small appliances, but not a hob. It is not waterproof while in use, so shelter it and close the cover afterwards.
Zendure sells it in the UK as a hardwired installation. It is certified to ENA G98 and has to be fitted by a Part P registered electrician. Grid output is limited to 800 W by default, and raising it to 2400 W needs the circuit to be checked first.
Zendure quotes up to 93 % round-trip efficiency and an independent test measured about 92 %. The battery is rated for 6000 cycles, with a ten-year warranty and a lifespan of up to fifteen years.
