To get the most out of the dynamic mode you'll want to pair it with a compatible meter, a Shelly 3EM does the job nicely, otherwise you're stuck setting a fixed charge power by hand, which works but is less refined. AC coupling has a real upside: self-consumption always comes first, only the surplus goes to the battery.
