Detailed overview: Xtorm 10,000 mAh magnetic power bank
The Xtorm FS5W101, sold under the Fuel Series 5 Magnetic name, is a 10,000mAh magnetic power bank designed to clip straight onto the back of a MagSafe compatible iPhone (iPhone 12 and later). The built-in magnets align automatically with those in the phone, and wireless charging starts the moment it snaps into place, no cable needed.
Xtorm's MagCharge Ultra technology delivers up to 15W of magnetic charging, enough to add around 20% battery to an iPhone in 20 minutes according to the brand. For faster wired charging, or to power a smartphone that isn't MagSafe compatible, a USB-C Power Delivery port steps up to 20W. That same port also recharges the power bank itself, in around 3 hours. Pass-through charging is supported too: your phone can keep charging wirelessly while the power bank itself recharges over USB-C.
The FS5W101's standout feature is its built-in metal kickstand, tucked away under the housing. A simple click unfolds it and turns the power bank into a desk charger, in portrait or landscape mode, handy for watching a video or taking a video call while charging. The power button is hidden underneath that kickstand, a smart way to avoid accidental presses in a bag. An LED display shows the remaining charge percentage in real time.
Built from recycled plastic (PC and ABS) with a textured, non-slip finish, the FS5W101 weighs 229g and measures a compact 111 x 72 x 24mm. It benefits from Xtorm's 6-layer safety check (protection against short circuits, overheating and overcharging) and a 2-year manufacturer warranty.
With its 10,000mAh (around 38.5 Wh), the FS5W101 charges most smartphones just under two full times, and stays comfortably under the 100 Wh cabin baggage limit used by most airlines. It suits anyone after a versatile MagSafe power bank that doubles as a desk stand, rather than the fastest wireless charging on the market.

Comparison
Around £25 to £55, the Xtorm FS5W101 sits among the magnetic Qi2/MagSafe power banks of roughly 10,000mAh, targeted by searches like "magsafe power bank" or "magnetic power bank kickstand". Here's how it compares to three alternatives: the EcoFlow Rapid Mag 10K, the Anker MagGo 10K and the Ugreen MagFlow 10000.
| Criterion | Xtorm FS5W101 | EcoFlow Rapid Mag 10K | Anker MagGo 10K | Ugreen MagFlow 10000 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Capacity | 10,000 mAh | 10,000 mAh | 10,000 mAh | 10,000 mAh |
| Wireless charging | 15W (MagCharge Ultra) | Qi2 15W | Qi2 15W | Qi2 25W |
| Wired output | USB-C 20W | USB-C 65W built-in | USB-C (no built-in cable) | USB-C 30W built-in |
| Stand/kickstand | Built-in metal kickstand | Built-in stand | Stand with display | Built-in stand |
| Price observed | ≈ £47 | ≈ £26 | ≈ £52 | ≈ £52 |
In short, the Xtorm FS5W101 relies on its built-in metal kickstand, sturdier than a plain plastic stand, and on Xtorm's reputation for durable finishes. The EcoFlow Rapid Mag stays noticeably cheaper with a very fast built-in 65W cable, the Ugreen MagFlow climbs to 25W wireless, and the Anker MagGo adds a detailed status display. For anyone who values a solid desk stand and neat build quality over record-breaking wireless speed, the FS5W101 remains a fair choice in its price bracket.

Our tester's review: Guillaume Hoarau
We tested the FS5W101 mainly around everyday desk use: the magnetic snap onto the back of the iPhone is instant, and the fold-out metal kickstand turns the bank into a genuinely stable desk stand for watching a video while it charges, a real plus for working from home. The 20W USB-C port refills the bank itself reasonably fast (about 3 hours), and pass-through charging keeps the phone topped up wirelessly while that happens. One downside also flagged by several buyers: the magnet, while functional, is a notch weaker than the best in class, with some risk of slipping off if the phone gets jostled. The display is limited to a plain LED percentage, without the comfort of a proper TFT screen. For calmer desk or sofa use, with 15W wireless charging and a well thought out kickstand, the FS5W101 is a fair choice, just not the sharpest in its category on magnetic grip.
