Detailed overview: Ugreen 20000mAh 100W laptop power bank

The Ugreen Nexode 100W is a 20,000 mAh power bank designed to charge a laptop on the move while staying compact and light. With 100W of output and 420 g on the scale, it strikes the ideal balance between endurance, power and portability.

Its USB-C1 port delivers up to 100W over Power Delivery 3.0, enough to power a 16-inch MacBook Pro (charged to 43% in 30 minutes), most Windows ultrabooks, a Steam Deck or a Nintendo Switch at full speed. It has 3 ports in total (2 USB-C and 1 USB-A) to charge three devices at once, with power shared automatically. An LED display shows the remaining level and the power delivered in real time.

On endurance, its 20,000 mAh (around 74 Wh) recharge an iPhone 17 about 3.7 times, a Galaxy S25 Ultra 3 times, an 11-inch iPad Pro twice or a MacBook Air 1.3 times. It recharges itself in about 2 hours with a 65W or higher charger (not included). A low-current mode also lets you gently charge earbuds and smartwatches.

Compact (13.9 x 8.2 x 2.6 cm) and under the 100 Wh limit, it is allowed in the aircraft cabin. A flame-retardant material and the ThermalGuard system look after safety during charging. Compatible with iPhone 17 to 14, Galaxy S25 and S24, iPad and USB-C laptops, UGREEN's Nexode 100W is the versatile battery of choice for anyone who wants to charge a laptop without the bulk.

Comparison

At around £43 to £111, the Ugreen Nexode 100W compares with 20,000 mAh power banks able to charge a laptop, targeted by searches such as "laptop power bank" or "20000mah power bank". Here is how it sits against three references: the Baseus Blade 100W, the Anker 535 (PowerCore 20K) and the Anker Prime 20000 200W.

In short, the Ugreen Nexode 100W offers the best balance: 100W laptop charging, a display and a light format (420 g), for a price below the Baseus Blade at equal power. The Anker 535 is cheaper but caps at 20W, not enough for a laptop, while the Anker Prime pushes to 200W for heavier use, at a much higher price. To charge a laptop day to day without breaking the bank or your back, the Nexode 100W is the most balanced choice.

We used the Ugreen Nexode 100W as our main battery for nomadic remote work, and it quickly became second nature: it charges the MacBook as happily as the phone, and at 420 g it disappears into the bag, which is not the case for every battery able to put out 100W. Over USB-C, an ultrabook gets a solid charge during a coffee break, and the display lets you track exactly the power going out and the percentage left, real peace of mind. The three ports earn their keep every day: you plug in the laptop, the phone and the earbuds without a second thought. We also like that it recharges quickly, in about two hours with a good charger. Two honest caveats: for a big power-hungry laptop, 100W is enough but you can feel the Nexode 145W goes faster, and as so often no wall charger is included, so you need a powerful brick to hand to recharge it quickly. But at the price it is offered, for a 20,000 mAh battery that charges a laptop, with a display and a light format, the value is hard to beat.
