Detailed overview: EcoFlow 160W bifacial portable solar panel
The EcoFlow 160W portable solar panel brings the essentials of the brand's solar technology in a light and more accessible format. Like its bigger brothers, it uses a bifacial design: its front face catches the sun's direct radiation, while its rear face recovers light reflected by the ground or surrounding surfaces, allowing a conversion rate that can climb up to 25%.
Built for the outdoors, it is foldable and travels like a case. Deployed, it rests on an adjustable 30 to 60° stand, with a built-in solar angle guide that helps aim it precisely at the sun to maximise output. Its XT60 cable is built directly in, which eases storage and allows a simple, direct connection to EcoFlow power stations in the River and Delta series.
On ruggedness, it benefits from IP68 certification, high protection against water and dust, letting it stay outside even in bad weather. EcoFlow backs it with a 5-year warranty, a mark of durability for regular outdoor use.
Light, bifacial and versatile, the EcoFlow 160W solar panel is for anyone who wants an efficient, easy-to-carry portable solar source for camping, van life or solar top-up, ideal for recharging a compact to mid-size station as the sun moves.

☀ How fast does this panel recharge a power station?
The EcoFlow 160W panel (160 W) recharges a Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 (1070 Wh) in ~9h35 or an EcoFlow Delta 2 Max (2048 Wh) in ~18h, in full sun.
| Compact / mid | Recharge |
|---|---|
| Jackery Explorer 100 Plus (99 Wh) | ~55 min |
| EcoFlow Trail 200 DC (192 Wh) | ~1h45 |
| Bluetti EB3A (268 Wh) | ~2h25 |
| Growatt Vita 550 (538 Wh) | ~4h50 |
| High capacity | Recharge |
|---|---|
| Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 (2042 Wh) | ~18h |
| Jackery Explorer 3000 v2 (3072 Wh) | ~27h |
| Allpowers R4000 (3456 Wh) | ~31h |
| EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 (4096 Wh) | ~37h |
Estimate in full sun (ideal conditions). In practice, count on 3 to 5 hours of truly useful sunlight per day, so a full recharge may span several days depending on weather and orientation.

Comparison
At around £171 to £299, the EcoFlow 160W solar panel compares with roughly 150 to 200W portable solar panels, targeted by searches such as "portable solar panel" or "foldable camping solar panel". Here is how it sits against three references: the Jackery SolarSaga 100W, the Bluetti PV120 and the EcoFlow 220W panel.
| Criterion | EcoFlow 160W | Jackery SolarSaga 100W | Bluetti PV120 | EcoFlow 220W |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Power | 160W | 100W | 120W | 220W |
| Design | Bifacial (up to 25%) | Monofacial | Monofacial | Bifacial |
| Stand / angle | 30-60° + guide | Kickstands | Kickstands | 30-60° + guide |
| Rating | IP68 | IP65 | IP65 | IP68 |
| Observed price | ≈ £199 | ≈ £256 | ≈ £170 | ≈ £349 |
In short, the EcoFlow 160W panel offers more power and a bifacial design where the Jackery SolarSaga 100W and the Bluetti PV120 stay monofacial and less powerful, plus the angle-guide stand and IP68 rating. Against the 220W, it loses power but gains in lightness and price. For a balanced, durable portable panel, the 160W is one of the best choices in its category.

Our tester's review: Julien De Jurquet
The EcoFlow 160W panel is the one we recommend to those who want the essentials of a good portable panel without going up in size or price. Lighter and more compact than the 220W, it travels easily and deploys in seconds on its adjustable stand. The bifacial design, taken from the high end, makes a difference as soon as you place it on a light surface, you gain watts effortlessly, and the built-in angle guide helps aim at the sun with no guesswork. The already-integrated XT60 cable plugs straight into our EcoFlow stations, no adapter to look for. While wild camping, it recharged our River in a few hours of full sun, and the IP68 rating let us leave it out without stress when a cloud bursts. Two honest caveats: 160W suits compact and mid-size stations best, for a large station you would prefer the 220W or two panels in parallel, and like any bifacial panel, maximum yield depends on good placement. But for a versatile, durable and well-thought-out panel, it is excellent value.
