From 10440 to 26650, Li-ion, LiFePO4, and NiMH
Its compatibility is very versatile for such a compact format: Li-ion, IMR, and LiFePO4 cells from 10440 to 26650, including 18650, 20700, and 21700, as well as NiMH batteries in AA and AAA sizes. Both bays are independent, so you can charge two cells of different types or sizes at once.
A surprisingly complete LCD screen
The LCD screen shows in real time the voltage, current, capacity charged, cell type, cutoff voltage, and health status of the cell, a far richer readout than simple LED indicators, rare in such a compact and affordable format.
Up to 3A, but only with the right adapter
Speed depends entirely on the power source. Plugged into a Quick Charge adapter, the UM2 delivers up to 3A on a single bay, or 1.5A per bay when both are occupied.
Standard protections, a shorter warranty
The UM2 protects against reverse polarity and short circuits, and stops charging at the end of each cycle. The manufacturer warranty stays at one year, shorter than some other Nitecore chargers or rivals in the lineup.
Who the UM2 is for
This charger suits anyone wanting a compact, reliable model for two cells of different types, with precise tracking without needing a deep-analysis screen. To charge more than two cells at once, the Nitecore UMS4 with four bays from the same lineup remains preferable. For internal resistance measurement, the Xtar VC4SL goes further.
