The C70 sits at the top of Bosch's C-Line range. If you only have one passenger car in the garage, it's overkill and the C30 will do. Its value starts as soon as the fleet diversifies.
24V support, alone in its category
A truck, a coach, farm equipment, or a boat motor run on two 12V batteries wired in series, and a 12V charger can't do anything for them. No other charger in our lineup can do this. 10 amps, next, changes the time equation: a half-drained 100 amp-hour battery recharges in half a day instead of a full night.
Powering the vehicle during a battery swap
The smartest function is the one built for the shop. On a recent car, disconnecting the battery wipes ECU, radio, and sometimes power window memories, which then need resetting. The C70 can power the onboard circuit during the operation, acting like a stabilized power supply, and you replace the battery without losing anything.
Indicator lights rather than a screen, no lithium
Like the rest of the range, it supports lead-acid, gel, EFB, and AGM, with the correct voltage profiles.
Who the C70 is for
At around £100, it's a reasoned investment for anyone maintaining several vehicles, an unnecessary choice for a single passenger car. The real rival is the Noco Genius10, which delivers the same amperage and adds lithium, but stays at 12V. If you need 24V, the C70 is the only one in the lineup that offers it.
