The Apple 20W adapter delivers exactly what its name promises: both advertised USB Power Delivery profiles (5V/3A and 9V/2.22A) are genuinely available at the port, with efficiency climbing to 88.8% at full load and no thermal throttling noticed even under sustained use. No safety recall on record since it launched in 2020, a real point in its favour for this type of accessory. Two real limits stand out: no PPS support means Samsung Galaxy phones never reach their fastest speed, and no GaN leaves the shell bulkier than newer rivals at the same power. Apple also publishes neither the weight nor the exact dimensions, an exception among its own product pages. For anyone staying in the Apple ecosystem who wants a dependable spare charger, it's a safe pick; for anyone comparing gram for gram, newer options do better.
