Detailed overview: LiTime 12V 50Ah LiFePO4 Bluetooth battery
The LiTime 12V 50Ah LiFePO4 is a lithium iron phosphate battery with 640Wh of energy, designed to replace a lead-acid battery on an electric boat motor, in a campervan or in an off-grid solar setup. Compared with a lead-acid battery of the same size, it is noticeably lighter (around 5 kg) and can be discharged almost fully without losing lifespan.
Its LiFePO4 chemistry rates it for more than 4000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge, and up to 15000 cycles at a more moderate discharge, for a service life of several years. The built-in 50A BMS continuously monitors charge and discharge: protection against overcharge, deep discharge, short-circuit and overheating, with automatic cut-off of charging below 0 °C and of discharging below -20 °C, then automatic restart once conditions return to normal.
The real advantage of this battery is its built-in Bluetooth 5.0: simply scanning the QR code on the case connects it to the LiTime app, with no manual pairing needed. You can track voltage, current and charge level in real time, even across several batteries wired in series or parallel up to a 4S4P setup, for roughly 10 kWh combined. The IP65-rated ABS case resists dust and water splashes, a genuine advantage for marine or outdoor use.
With its M8 bolt terminals and compact footprint (195 x 166 x 172 mm), it drops in easily in place of a 50 to 70 Ah lead-acid battery, whether powering a 20-70 lb thrust trolling motor or running the electronics in a campervan or storing the output of a small solar kit. A solid choice for anyone moving to lithium without blowing the budget. It also ships with a 5-year manufacturer warranty, in line with what buyers now expect from a modern LiFePO4 battery in this price bracket.

Our tester's review: Julien De Jurquet
We fitted this LiTime 12V 50Ah in place of an old lead-acid battery on a small electric boat, and the difference is obvious straight away: half the weight, and you can genuinely run the 640Wh down without worrying about damaging it. The Bluetooth is well thought out, pairing via the QR code is instant and the app clearly shows voltage, current and charge level, handy for keeping an eye on the battery without pulling out a multimeter. The automatic cold-weather cut-off gave peace of mind on a late-season outing, though as with any LiFePO4 it is best to avoid charging below 0 °C. Our only gripe: the M8 bolt terminals need the right lugs, worth planning for before installing. For a boat, campervan or small solar kit, it clearly beats a lead-acid battery of the same size.
Frequently asked questions: LiTime 12V 50Ah LiFePO4 Bluetooth battery
The LiTime LiFePO4 is roughly half the weight and can be discharged almost fully without losing lifespan, unlike lead-acid, which handles deep discharges poorly. It also lasts for far more cycles.
Yes, that's its main use: it delivers a continuous 60A (1.2C) discharge for 30 minutes, suited to 20-70 lb thrust motors, and works just as well in a campervan or solar kit.
A QR code on the case connects the battery to the LiTime app over Bluetooth 5.0, with no manual pairing. It shows voltage, current and charge level in real time, even for several batteries wired in series or parallel.
The BMS automatically cuts off charging below 0 °C and discharging below -20 °C to protect the cells, restarting automatically once conditions return to normal. As with any LiFePO4, avoid charging it in very cold weather.
Yes, up to a 4S4P setup (4 in series, 4 in parallel), building a system that stores roughly 10 kWh, handy for expanding a solar installation or an off-grid system.
