The FBP1200 quickly found its place on our test balcony: two handles, a several-metre cable in the box and a wall socket are all it takes to get it running, no lengthy manual required. The display stays readable in bright sunlight, and the cooling fins stayed barely warm even after several hours of charging in hot weather. The backup mode impressed us with its speed: the 1 ms switchover doesn't faze any sensitive device. The app, on the other hand, takes a bit of patience. The three modes on offer (green plan, custom, smart plug) become genuinely useful once you've got the hang of them, but the interface still has a few rough edges. Another real limit: with 800 W into the grid and 1200 W off-grid, the battery struggles with the hungriest appliances, an electric kettle stalled it during our tests. For a fridge, a router, lighting or charging devices, though, it delivers without a hitch. A young, promising product that could use a bit more output power.
