Detailed overview: Ugreen 48000mAh 300W high-capacity power bank
The Ugreen 300W 48000mAh is a giant power bank, halfway between a power bank and a portable power station. With 48,000 mAh (around 153 Wh) and 300W of total power, it is aimed at anyone who needs off-the-charts endurance: several days of smartphone use, a full day of laptop use, or a reserve for camping and power cuts.
It relies on LiFePO4 cells, more durable and safer than conventional lithium-ion: Ugreen claims 3000 charge cycles, around 10 years of daily use, where an ordinary battery fades after 500 cycles. Its three USB outputs deliver up to 300W in total, with a main USB-C port at 140W over Power Delivery 3.1, enough to charge a laptop at full speed while powering a phone and a tablet. A digital display shows the level, the power and the estimated runtime.
Its 48,000 mAh recharge an iPhone about 10.8 times, a Galaxy 7.1 times, or a laptop once. It recharges itself very quickly thanks to 140W bidirectional charging (PD 3.1), in about an hour and a half. A built-in three-mode LED light (lighting, flashing, SOS) and a carry handle make it a genuine outdoor and emergency companion.
Two things to know: it is logically heavy and bulky for this capacity, and at around 153 Wh, it exceeds the 100 Wh limit allowed freely in the cabin but stays under 160 Wh: it can be taken in the cabin with the airline's prior approval. But for camping, the van, the home or nomadic work, UGREEN's 300W 48000mAh, a Red Dot 2024 winner, offers rare endurance and versatility.
Comparison
At around 90 to 180€, the Ugreen 300W 48000mAh compares with very-high-capacity USB power banks, targeted by searches such as "powerful power bank" or "large power bank". Here is how it sits against three alternatives: the Anker Prime 27650 250W, the Anker 737 (PowerCore 24K) and the Ugreen Nexode Pro 200W.
| Criterion | Ugreen 300W 48000mAh | Anker Prime 27650 250W | Anker 737 (PowerCore 24K) | Ugreen Nexode Pro 200W |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Capacity | 48,000 mAh | 27,650 mAh | 24,000 mAh | 25,000 mAh |
| Power | 300W | 250W | 140W | 200W |
| Cells | LiFePO4 | Li-ion | Li-ion | Li-ion |
| LED light | Yes | No | No | No |
| Observed price | ≈ 160 € | ≈ 180 € | ≈ 100 € | ≈ 90 € |
In short, the Ugreen 300W 48000mAh stands out for nearly double the capacity of the others, more durable LiFePO4 cells, an LED light and a handle, built for camping and backup. The Ankers and the Nexode Pro 200W remain everyday batteries, more compact and easier to carry, but far less enduring. The Ugreen is heavier and less suited to flying, but for a massive, durable USB reserve on the ground, it has no real equivalent at this price.

Our tester's review: Guillaume Hoarau
We took the Ugreen 300W 48000mAh on a weekend van trip, and it is the kind of battery that changes things when you are far from a socket: it charged the whole group's phones for two days, powered a laptop for a working day, and served as a backup light in the evening thanks to its built-in LED. The handle is well thought out for carrying it, and the display lets you track precisely what is left. We really like the LiFePO4 cells: you know you keep the battery for many years without it degrading. Recharging is quick for this size, about an hour and a half at 140W. On the other hand, you have to accept the weight and bulk, you do not slip it into a pocket, and for flying, its capacity requires the airline's prior approval. The price is significant, but relative to what it offers, it stays reasonable next to a power station. For anyone after a massive, durable USB reserve that is practical outdoors, it is an excellent choice.
