Detailed overview: Tronsmart Bang 2 party speaker
The Tronsmart Bang 2 is a portable Bluetooth speaker built for the party, stacking up functions to the point of becoming a genuine multi-purpose device. Its first asset remains the sound: a 90W 2.1 system (racetrack mid-woofer, two passive radiators and two tweeters) with BassUp technology, able to reach 105 dB to fill an indoor or outdoor party.
Its large 18,000 mAh battery gives up to 26 hours of playtime (at moderate volume, lighting off), enough to last a whole evening without a recharge. It is also this battery that gives it its second role: a power bank function, via a 10 W USB port (5 V / 2 A), to recharge a smartphone or a small device, valuable on the move or when camping.
For atmosphere, RGB lighting syncs to the beat of the music and is customised from the Tronsmart app, which also gives access to an equaliser. Connectivity relies on Bluetooth 5.3 (fast, stable pairing) with TWS mode and broadcasting to more than 100 compatible speakers for multiplied sound at big parties.
Rugged and portable, the Bang 2 carries an IPX6 rating (resistant to water jets and rain), an integrated handle and a detachable strap to carry it easily. With its generous dimensions (around 40 cm wide) and its weight of around 3 kg, it embraces its status as a party speaker, at once powerful, long-lasting and versatile.

At around £77 to £111, the Tronsmart Bang 2 compares with the most sought-after portable party speakers with a power bank function, through searches such as "best powerful party speaker" or "Bluetooth speaker power bank". Here is how it sits against three alternatives: the JBL Charge 5, the Anker Soundcore Boom 2 and the Tribit StormBox Blast.

In short, the Tronsmart Bang 2 stands out for its excellent power-to-price ratio: it offers 90W and 26h of battery life for a price well below its bigger rivals. The JBL Charge 5 focuses on finish and better waterproofing but is less powerful and pricier, while the Anker Soundcore Boom 2 and the Tribit StormBox Blast also play the party card with strong bass and IPX7. All include a power bank function. For anyone wanting big sound, long battery life and USB backup without blowing the budget, the Bang 2 is a very smart choice.

Our tester's review: Guillaume Hoarau
We took the Tronsmart Bang 2 for what it is, a generous party speaker, and it genuinely delivers. The 90W have real punch: the sound carries far outdoors, the BassUp function gives bass that hits, and at up to 105 dB it easily fills a garden or a beach. Battery life is a real strong point: with its big 18,000 mAh battery, it lasts a whole evening (and far more at moderate volume) without hunting for a socket. The beat-synced RGB lighting adds a nice touch for the mood, and adjusts in the app, as does the equaliser. What places it among multi-function devices is its power bank function: a USB port recharges a phone, handy when the group's batteries run low late in the night. IPX6 waterproof, it fears neither splashes nor rain, and the detachable strap makes it easy to carry. Two honest nuances: at full power with the LEDs on, the runtime naturally drops, and at nearly 3 kg it is not a pocket mini-speaker. But to liven up parties while rescuing phones, the Bang 2 offers an excellent sound-features-price ratio.
