The DeWalt XR 18V 5Ah battery (reference DCB184) is the genuine Li-Ion battery of DeWalt's XR 18V cordless platform. In the North American market, this same platform is sold under the 20V MAX name and the battery then carries the reference DCB205: it is the same voltage and the same technology, only the marketing name changes (18V nominal in Europe, 20V max no-load in the US).

These are two ways of naming the same platform: 18V nominal in Europe, 20V MAX in North America, where the figure quoted is the open-circuit voltage, battery full and under no load. Electrically nothing changes. A European XR 18V pack and a 20V MAX one are the same thing under two commercial labels.
Across the whole 18V XR slide-on range, yes. It does not suit older 18V tools that take stem-type batteries, whose mounting is completely different: those models need an adapter, not this pack. If your current battery clips on by sliding along a rail, you are in the right place.
