The GBX75 is the heavy-duty big brother of the GB40, and it justifies its power the moment you have a large engine to wake. Its 2500A restart an SUV, a van or a diesel 4x4 with ease, where an entry-level jump starter struggles or gives up. We really appreciated the USB-C Power Delivery recharge: the jump starter refills far faster than older models, and the same port charges a phone or a laptop in a pinch, a real plus while travelling. UltraSafe spark-proof and reverse-polarity protection puts you at ease at connection, and the rugged build (IP65) inspires confidence. The LED light with its SOS and strobe modes rounds it off nicely. Two honest caveats: it is bigger, heavier and pricier than the GB40, which makes sense given its power, and for a simple petrol city car it is heavily over-specified (the GB40 is enough). But for anyone driving a large diesel or wanting a jump starter able to start anything, it is a safe bet.
