Detailed overview: elzle 26,800 mAh 4-panel solar charger
The elzle Solar Power Bank 26800 is a power bank designed for the outdoors, with a capacity of 26,800 mAh (about 99 Wh) and a rugged ABS and polycarbonate casing. Its distinctive feature: four foldable monocrystalline solar panels that unfold to capture sunlight and offer a charging top-up while hiking, camping or on expedition, far from a mains socket.
On the wired side, the bidirectional USB-C port supports input and output at 5 V/3 A, and fully recharges the pack from the mains in about 8 to 9 hours. Two USB-A ports round out the offer, for a total of three devices powered at once (smartphones, tablets, GPS units, cameras...). Current is automatically adjusted to the connected device, with protection against overcharging, short circuits and over-discharge.
The pack also carries a 150-lumen LED flashlight with four modes (high beam, low beam, SOS, strobe), with a claimed runtime of up to 50 hours of night-time outdoor use, a real plus while camping or during a power cut. The IPX5-rated casing protects against water splashes, dust, drops and scratches, and a carabiner is supplied to clip it onto a backpack.
Let us stay honest about the solar side, as with most packs of this type: elzle states it clearly itself, solar charging is an emergency solution and not a primary charging mode; it takes many hours of full sun for a genuinely meaningful top-up. With its 26,800 mAh (about 99 Wh), the pack stays under the 100 Wh airline cabin limit, with no special authorisation needed. At 556 grams, it is not the lightest in its class, but its compact footprint (162 x 82 x 36 mm) and ruggedness make it a convincing backup solution for heading far from power sockets.

Comparison
Around £30 to £40, the elzle Solar Power Bank 26800 compares to the most sought-after high-capacity foldable-panel solar power banks for the outdoors, via searches like "26800mAh solar power bank" or "foldable solar power bank hiking". Here is how it stands against three alternatives: the Blavor PN-W12 Pro, the Vikeri 26800 and the ADDTOP 25000.
| Criterion | elzle 26800 | Blavor PN-W12 Pro | Vikeri 26800 | ADDTOP 25000 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Capacity | 26,800 mAh | 20,000 mAh | 26,800 mAh | 25,000 mAh |
| Power | 15 W (USB-C) | 18 W (USB-C PD) | ≈ 10 W | ≈ 15 W |
| Solar panels | 4 foldable | 4 foldable | 4 foldable | 4 foldable |
| Water resistance | IPX5 | IPX5 | IP67 | Not stated |
| Observed price | ≈ £37 | ≈ £34 | ≈ £29 | ≈ £30 |
In short, the elzle 26800 stands out for its capacity, the highest of the group tied with the Vikeri, and for its four-mode camping light, on top of the four foldable panels it shares with the other three. The Blavor PN-W12 Pro offers slightly higher charging power (18 W), while the Vikeri is a little cheaper but less powerful. As with all these packs, the solar panels remain an emergency top-up rather than a genuine charging source: the elzle 26800 is to be chosen above all for its large capacity, its rugged IPX5 casing and its complete kit (flashlight, carabiner).

Our tester's review: Guillaume Hoarau
We took the elzle Solar Power Bank 26800 hiking and wild camping, and it lives up to its rugged reputation. The rubberised casing shrugs off knocks and splashes (IPX5), and the supplied carabiner clips straight onto a backpack. The four foldable solar panels are easy to unfold, but let us be honest: the brand says so itself, solar charging is an emergency backup, not a substitute for a mains socket, and it takes many hours of full sun for a meaningful top-up. Over USB-C, a full charge takes 8 to 9 hours, and the two USB-A ports let you power up to three devices at once. The four-mode flashlight, SOS included, proved genuinely useful at camp. One real downside: at 556 grams it adds noticeable weight to a pack, and some users report a real-world capacity a little short of the advertised 26,800 mAh, as is common for this type of product. For a rugged, generous power bank at this price, flashlight and carabiner included, it remains a solid choice for heading far from a power socket.
Frequently asked questions: elzle 26,800 mAh 4-panel solar charger
The four foldable panels do capture sunlight, but elzle says so itself: it is an emergency backup, not a primary charging mode. It takes many hours of full sun for a genuinely meaningful top-up; for a quick full charge, the USB-C port is the better option (8 to 9 hours).
With its 26,800 mAh (about 99 Wh), it recharges most smartphones five to six times depending on their battery size, enough for several days of hiking without a mains socket.
Up to three: one on the USB-C port (5 V/3 A, input and output) and two on the USB-A ports (5 V/2.1 A each). Handy for powering several devices at camp.
It is IPX5-rated, resistant to water splashes, dust and knocks thanks to its ABS and polycarbonate casing. It is not, however, designed to be submerged.
Yes. At about 99 Wh, it stays just under the 100 Wh cabin limit set by most airlines, with no special authorisation needed.
