The Samsung 30Q (INR18650-30Q) is a lithium-ion 18650 cell renowned for its excellent balance between capacity and power. With 3000mAh and a 15A continuous discharge rating, it suits powerful torches just as well as rebuildable mods, DIY battery packs, e-scooters and cordless tools. It is one of the best-selling 18650 cells in the world, a safe pick for anyone who wants a versatile format rather than juggling capacity and drain. Bare unprotected cell, for experienced users only.

We tested the 30Q in three different settings: a high-end torch, a rebuildable mod and a small DIY pack for a power tool. In all three cases the same conclusion holds: this is a cell that never disappoints because it does not try to be the best on a single criterion. In a torch, runtime is very solid without being exceptional; in a high-drain mod, it copes without abnormal heating right up to its rated 15A. That exact compromise is what has made it a community reference for years. Real caveat: at the same budget, a purely capacity-focused cell will go further on runtime alone, and a purely high-drain cell will go further on raw amperage. The 30Q is an excellent default choice when you are not yet sure which of those two needs will dominate. The one real thing to watch: the 18650 format is heavily counterfeited online, so it is worth buying from a serious specialist retailer rather than chasing the lowest price on a generic marketplace.

Day to day, simply dropping the phone on top to charge it, with no cable to find, is genuinely pleasant, just like charging a Galaxy Watch or earbuds the same way. And when you want speed, the 25 W USB-C ports do the job: you get a good chunk of a phone's battery back in little time. Being able to power three devices at once (two cables plus induction) is a real help when travelling, when everyone needs juice. The LED indicators are clear, you always know how much is left, and the included cable saves carrying one. The beige finish is pretty and a change from the usual black shells. Two honest reservations: induction charging is handy but slow (7.5 W), so for speed you are better off using USB-C, and at 222 g it makes itself felt in a small pocket. But for mixed wireless and wired use, with this capacity and versatility, it is a genuinely well-designed power bank.
