During a deliberate power cut test, the switch to battery was instant, with no reboot on either the router or the NAS. Runtime stays modest, around 5 minutes at full load, plenty of time for the USB monitoring software to trigger a clean shutdown rather than to ride out a long outage. The slim case tucks away easily under a desk or behind a router. One real downside: 4 outlets cap how many devices you can protect at once, and only one outlet really benefits from RJ45 surge protection.
