Detailed overview: Ugreen 60W braided USB-C to USB-C cable
The Ugreen 60W USB-C to USB-C cable is a simple but well-designed cord, made to get the best out of the USB-C ecosystem, now the charging and connection standard on almost all recent devices (except older iPhones). It combines fast charging, ruggedness and versatility at a contained price.
On the charging side, it supports Power Delivery and delivers up to 60W (20V/3A). That is enough to quickly charge an Android smartphone or a recent iPhone (USB-C), a tablet, a pair of earbuds, a game controller, but also a low-power USB-C laptop or a compatible power station. Charging adapts automatically to the connected device, safely.
Its durability is a real selling point: the braided nylon jacket resists coiling, pulling and repeated bag trips far better than PVC-sheathed cables, while the reinforced joints at the connectors limit the most common breaking point of cables. Beyond charging, it also handles data transfer between devices.
Made by Ugreen, a brand known for reliable, well-finished charging accessories, this 1.5 m cable is a consumable worth owning in several copies: at home, at the office and in the bag. Its only limits are those of an entry-to-mid-range cable: for very high-power charging (100W and above) on big laptops, you will need a dedicated 100W cable, and for ultra-fast data transfer, a USB 3.2 or Thunderbolt cable. For the vast majority of everyday uses, it does the job perfectly.
Our tester's review: Dawid Lojewski
You do not expect miracles from a USB-C cable, but you want it to be reliable and to last, and on both counts this one ticks the boxes. The braided nylon jacket changes everything compared with PVC-sheathed cables that crack after a few months: here it resists coiling, being stuffed in a bag and knots without complaint. The 60W fast charging does the job on a smartphone as well as on a low-power USB-C laptop, and data transfer comes in handy. At this price and with Ugreen's reliability, it is hard to go wrong: it is the kind of cable you buy several of so you never run short.
