Detailed overview: Bluetti Balco 260 balcony solar battery 2.56 kWh
Launched on 13 July 2026 in France and Germany, the Bluetti Balco 260 is a balcony solar storage battery designed to plug straight into a standard wall socket, with no electrician and no complex wiring. Its 2560Wh LiFePO4 battery charges through four independent MPPT trackers accepting up to 2400W of solar panels, and feeds power back through a 1200W bidirectional inverter, capable of delivering up to 2300W by combining battery output with a limited grid draw.
Its main strength is scalability. Up to five additional BC260 batteries push a single unit's total capacity to 15,360Wh, and the BLUETTI Space feature lets up to six units coordinate wirelessly, for a claimed combined capacity of up to 92kWh and a combined solar input of 14.4kW, gradually covering an entire home. Everything is controlled through a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth app with an AI energy manager (AI-EMS) that cross-references electricity tariffs and solar forecasts to charge and discharge automatically, and which also works with Google Home, Alexa, Home Assistant, and third-party smart meters such as the Shelly 3EM Pro.
The IP65-rated enclosure is rated to run from -20 to 50 °C, with low-temperature heating and a fire-resistant 5VA design for outdoor mounting on a balcony or facade. Bluetti quotes a 96.1% conversion efficiency and 4.5W standby draw. Early independent tests, however, found real-world round-trip efficiency closer to 79% and standby draw closer to 16W, behind the best competitors on the market. This is a first-generation product, and some announced features, such as automatic charging from surplus PV, are still being refined through software updates.
Supplied with an AC cable, wall brackets and a PV connector removal tool, the Bluetti Balco 260 suits anyone wanting to start a simple, scalable balcony solar storage setup, provided they can live with the rough edges of a very young product.

Comparison
Around €1,400, the Bluetti Balco 260 sits among the most searched balcony solar storage batteries, for queries like "balcony solar battery price" or "Balco 260 vs SolarFlow". Here is how it compares to three already-known alternatives: the Zendure SolarFlow 2400 AC, the EcoFlow Stream AC 5000, and the Anker Solix Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro.
| Criterion | Bluetti Balco 260 | Zendure SolarFlow 2400 AC | EcoFlow Stream AC 5000 | Anker Solix Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Base capacity | 2560Wh | 2880Wh | 5024Wh | 5024Wh |
| Direct solar input (MPPT) | Yes, 4 MPPT, 2400W | No, AC-coupled only | No, AC-coupled only | Yes, 4 MPPT, 5000W |
| Expandable to | 15,360Wh (92kWh networked) | 17,280Wh | 15,072Wh (90kWh networked) | Up to 30,000Wh |
| Bidirectional power | 1200W (2300W peak) | 2400W | 3000W | 800W fed in / 2500W off-grid |
| Observed price | ≈ €1,399 | ≈ €1,199 | ≈ €1,699 | ≈ €1,899 |
In short, the Bluetti Balco 260 is the only option in this comparison that combines direct solar input (4 MPPT) with an entry price under €1,400, whereas the Zendure and EcoFlow units both require an existing solar inverter to work at all. The Anker Solix Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro remains the most powerful and most expandable, but at a notably higher price. For starting balcony solar storage with no prior installation, the Balco 260 is the most direct entry point in this comparison.

Our tester's review: Julien De Jurquet
The Balco 260 is a genuine step forward for anyone living in a flat: plugging a 2560Wh battery capable of soaking up 2400W of solar panels through its four MPPT trackers straight into a wall socket, with zero electrician required, is a promise it actually keeps. Setup is genuinely quick, and the app handles charging and discharging around electricity tariffs thanks to its built-in AI (AI-EMS). Its real strength is scalability: up to five extra BC260 batteries push capacity to 15,360Wh, and up to six units can coordinate wirelessly to cover an entire home. A few caveats are worth flagging: early independent tests measure round-trip efficiency around 79%, behind the best competitors, and standby draw a touch higher than Bluetti's own figures. The automatic charging mode has also shown a few questionable calls in early testing. Nothing dealbreaking for a first-generation product, but worth watching through future updates. As an uncomplicated way to start balcony solar storage, the Balco 260 remains a solid, scalable choice.
