Detailed overview: Xiaomi 90W 3-port wall charger

The Xiaomi 90W HyperCharge Power Adapter is a wall charger designed to replace several bricks with one. With three ports (two USB-C and one USB-A) and up to 90 W, it powers a laptop as easily as a smartphone, a tablet or a smartwatch, at home, at the office or while travelling.

Each USB-C port can deliver up to 90 W on its own, enough to fast-charge most laptops (with Xiaomi's official 6 A USB-C to USB-C cable). When you plug in two devices, power splits intelligently, up to 67 W + 18 W, and with all three ports in use you get 67 W + 15 W. The automatic power distribution means you do not have to think: you plug in, the adapter adjusts.

On compatibility, it supports Xiaomi's proprietary protocol as well as the major industry standards, PD (with PPS) and QC. In practice, it efficiently charges recent Android phones and iPhones, tablets and many USB-C laptops. The body, made of UL94-V0 flame-retardant materials, includes intelligent temperature control and a long list of protections (overvoltage, overheating, overcurrent, short circuit).

Its footprint stays very compact for a 90 W charger, making it an excellent travel companion. Two things to know before buying: the USB-C cable is not included, and you need the official 6 A cable to reach 90 W on a single port. For anyone looking to centralise the charging of all their devices on one reliable, portable brick, the Xiaomi 90W HyperCharge is a safe bet.

The three chargers share the same formula (GaN, three ports, multi-protocol fast charging). The Anker 736 and Ugreen Nexode climb to 100 W, a slight edge for very power-hungry laptops, but the Xiaomi 90W HyperCharge stands out with an often more moderate price and a compact body, while covering the same everyday uses. For most users, the 10 W difference is barely noticeable.

I use this Xiaomi 90W HyperCharge as the single charger on my desk, and it alone replaced two bulkier bricks. On its main USB-C port it charges my laptop at full speed, and when I add the phone and watch, the power splits intelligently without anything heating up abnormally. The body is genuinely compact for 90 W, which makes it perfect to drop into a bag for a trip. PD with PPS support is a real plus for charging recent smartphones efficiently. Two honest caveats: the USB-C cable is not supplied, and you need Xiaomi's official 6 A cable to reach 90 W on a single port, otherwise it caps lower. Nothing blocking, but good to know. To centralise the charging of all your devices without multiplying sockets, it is an excellent choice.
