Detailed overview: Ugreen 145W USB-C car charger, retractable cable
The Ugreen 145W car charger is a premium cigarette-lighter charger, designed to turn the car's 12V socket into a genuine charging station. With 145W of total power, it charges up to four devices at once, from a phone to a laptop, without compromise.
Its main asset is the built-in retractable USB-C cable, up to 70 cm long, which extends and stows with a single pull: no more cable trailing or tangling in the cabin. This cable delivers up to 60W, and the 4-in-1 design adds two USB-C ports and a USB-A port. Used on its own, a USB-C port reaches 100W, enough to charge a 16-inch MacBook Pro at full speed in the car, an iPad or an iPhone.
Ugreen says the cable is tested for 25,000 retractions and 10,000 charge cycles, a mark of durability, and it angles into eight positions to fit the console. A multi-protection system guards against overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuits and overheating.
Compatible with iPhone 17 to 15, MacBook, iPad, Galaxy and most USB-C devices, UGREEN's 145W car charger is the ideal accessory to fast-charge the whole family on the move, with a cable always to hand and impeccable cable management.
Comparison
At around 30 to 40€, the Ugreen 145W car charger compares with powerful USB-C cigarette-lighter chargers, targeted by searches such as "USB-C car charger" or "car charger". Here is how it sits against three alternatives: the Anker 535 Car Charger, the Baseus 140W and a classic 65W cigarette-lighter charger.
| Criterion | Ugreen 145W | Anker 535 (67W) | Baseus 140W | 65W car charger |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Power | 145W | 67W | 140W | 65W |
| Outputs | 4 (cable + 2C + A) | 2 (2 USB-C) | 3 (2 USB-C + A) | 2 (USB-C + A) |
| Built-in cable | Yes, retractable | No | No | No |
| Observed price | ≈ 36 € | ≈ 30 € | ≈ 35 € | ≈ 20 € |
In short, the Ugreen 145W stands out for the rare combination of high power (145W), four outputs and a built-in retractable USB-C cable, absent from its rivals. The Anker 535 is a safe bet but caps at 67W over two ports, the Baseus 140W nears the power without the built-in cable, and a basic charger is fine for two phones but not a laptop. To equip a family car with impeccable cable management, the Ugreen 145W is the most complete choice.

Our tester's review: Gilles Caron
We fitted the Ugreen 145W car charger on a long family trip, and it quickly won everyone over: the retractable USB-C cable is remarkably practical, you pull it to plug in the passenger's phone, and it tidies itself away, no more tangle of cables in the console. With its four outputs, everyone charges their device at the same time, and the power is more than enough, we even charged a laptop on the 100W port while the phones were charging. Being able to angle the cable across several positions is well thought out so it does not get in the way of the gear lever. The finish is solid and the case does not heat up abnormally. Two small caveats: the retractable cable is USB-C only, so for a Lightning or micro-USB device you will need to use a port and your own cable, and the price is a little above a basic cigarette-lighter charger, but you pay for the power, the built-in cable and the durability. To equip a family car, it is an excellent investment.
